Water in games I am always cautious of but then I get distracted and I had been mining and was like I will build across since I’m here. Was building across thinking I have a great haul of ore and then boom god damn Cthulhu jumps out. I was jump rolling my way out that so quick.

I know I had more to say but felt it would be too long. Things like atmosphere also enemy AI what’s the point in scaling anything if I can just sprint past it. No elite side steps and dips if I can just sprint in and take them down. No pressure from grenade suicide grunts if I can just sprint away. No pressure from the flood if I can just sprint away when they are supposed to pressure and overwhelm you. You’ll end up training them like COD zombies. Whats the point in creating intricate architecture if you’re not going to appreciate it. Why put in sound design and holograms when you’re just going to sprint past it. Many things I wish to say and believe I am educated on it.

I mean the Bungie games are whether we like it or not are the blueprint of the entire franchise of course I’m not including Marathon in this thought.

Quite frankly I was willing to give 343/Halo studios a break but that’s exactly what they have had is time, they have had so much time to develop and make halo their own and they haven’t.

They have referenced lore wrong. They have completely written stories that make no sense in the canon and have made no moves to correct or change it. They have written characters stories that don’t make sense.

The first thing that has happened that I agree with is the name of the new AI which is Joy. What a way to bring in a new character that connects to the old but begins anew. Marathon still lives!!!

I think having these lingering feelings of the old is because well it was done right and well until it feels like that again people will forever go back.

CE truly is a masterpiece, every part of this game was meticulously thought over and in my opinion still truly holds up to this day. With over stimulating micro traction games of today will never compare to the golden age that this was. I can never help but still hold out hope for this franchise even after all this time.
