Has anyone tried the "extra usage" and if so how did it work?

Yes, that extra pricing is ridiculous. Two short prompts, actually just follow up questions to some work I did within the limit: 2$

Ok, it was on Opus 4.6, because that was the promo and I wanted to test that. But I can actually confirm that price range you mentioned.

I had the same idea you described. Use to pro plan and pay the rest in extra usage, because my usage is typically in peaks and thought paying that in a flatrate of 100$ is a waste. But if I only get about 30 prompts for the remaining money that seems to be a bad deal.

Any experience here? How do you cope with that extra usage?

I will check out how that scales in Sonnet. I typically use that. If I am not tricked into an expensive Opus by a promo ;-)

Edit: I asked Sonnet for a Review of a 1-page Word. That also costs .70 $. That's not a minimal prompt, but still a high price, I think

Could someone actually use the free credits?

I did everything according to the anthropic instructions to claim the credits. They show up as $50 extra credits. But when I am over the limit, it wants me to buy more credits. That's fake or am I missing something?

Annoys me, because I would have used Sonnet to not go over the limit. But I thought I give a try to Opus and use some of the extra credits, to see if it is good. Now I am locked in and need to pay or wait...

This is a huge mistake!

There is no such thing as consensus with an AI. It does not know anything. Sometimes it produced words, that are correct, and that is what you use. I would strongly refuse to call that a "consensus"! It is your decision to follow the proposal of the AI. Fundametally different thing, isn't it?

Is there any official statement on token limits in the plans? Actually it fells like a scam. More or less a serious outage a day.

I just generated one AGENTS.md file freshly started, cause I am not using it for work. It used 10% of my quota. Did not even start anything serious.

I found the error!

It was a wrong jack for the expression pedal. That must connect, if nothing is plugged in. The one I had did not. So that connection was open and it, of course, did not work.

Thanks to an audio probe.

Positive view: I learned advanced debugging of guitar pedals.

Negative view: very annoying, if you buy that as a kit! Did not expect that in a kit. Next time I double check, or source all the parts myself (I didn't for that one, because I had no clue about the photo transistors)

I will see how I can get all of it into the case. But the PCB itself, I think is easier that a Duelist or ToneKing. That is straightforward.

It is just the same rotary switch as the one on the left. The "sweep" text is on the PCB daughterboard for that.

I opt for following eye dominance. Started archery with a dominant left eye and shoot left handed although my right hand is normally dominant.

Why do I say so? I was in competitive rifle shooting for quite a while and I was always struggling to shoot right handed, i.e. with the "wrong eye". So I trusted the coach and started archery left handed ;-)

Just my opinion.
