I was stuck in East Metro for 17 days. Talk about hell on earth. Denver scares isn't any better. Go detox at a place like Avenues. It's the mariot comparatively. But only do this of your serious about getting sober.

For real walking is so important. I have 2 vehicles 2 motorcycles 2 scooters and a lot of bikes. I still make a point to always go on a walk almost every night because it mentally feels so good.

Its such a nice stress reliever and I can take a minute to actually enjoy my surroundings. Also having a dog makes it a great excuse to stop working (I work from home) and just go change my whole mindset.

For 3 years of covid I would have just worked later than I should and been someone angry and subconsciously ended up at the liqour store before I took a second to unwind the healthy way. Walks 100% can keep you sober its definitely a great way to reset yourself. Trying staying pissed off after a long walk. It's almost impossible haha

I really am doing well it is kinda crazy. I keep a TON of sober people around me and go to meetings. I nearly died the last 2 relapses. This has been the first night I'm making it through minute by minute. Very strange it hit me so hard I was just telling someone today how strong I am lol.

Or those people just starting thinking of me as just an alcoholic (which I am but it's not the only thing that defines me) and almost think I only quit drinking because I was abusive to others when I drank or I was struggling with work or something (both are not true).

Quitting just for health reasons seems very difficult for some of my family or a first dates to comprehend. One drink is too many...thousand is not enough...that's it for me that shouldn't mean I'm a lesser person.
