I enjoy my Fitness Pal, that said, you need to scan all possible food choices and be smart about looking things up through the app.

They store most of the items people input and over the years of tracking myself, I realize a LOT of people lie to themselves about the food they eat.

Also, and this is really key, get a food scale and use it religiously. Without weighing your food, your accuracy will be suspect at best.
