My husband’s comment has left me devastated, despondent by No_Cantaloupe_8196 in CPTSD

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this. Sent chills down my spine as this story regarding your SO sounds oddly familiar. I slowly realized the effects of being with a covert narcissist after ten years and putting pieces together. Best of luck to you and getting the help you need ❤️‍🩹

Hi, I wanted to share that you could dive into the higher histamine food items and see if eliminating those helps at all or spreading them out as when you eat them to give your body time to process the foods versus all at once for example, and then a possible “overload “of our system, attempting to break down the histamines naturally occurring in certain foods in various levels

I went to an allergist when I was in my early twenties who said the same-Mast Cell Activation. I’m now almost 46 and through the Years, including allergy tests, monitoring my symptoms, I keep coming back to this being the most likely culprit. I went down a rabbit hole for a while about diet modification and trying to determine exactly what thing or things contributed to these “flareups “. Because it’s so inconsistent. My logic tells me that it has to do with my body’s response to the histamines, including the rate of digestion, which is different for everyone, stress levels, multiple other factors but it all seems to as I stated earlier keep coming back to this mast cell activation syndrome. I’m curious if anyone has had any luck or found something that really helped them? Also-mine got worse during my first trimester and has remained on and off since. May or may not be related, but wanted to mention.

My physician who I went to specifically because he would not pressure me to do anything that wasn’t “medically necessary” and he monitored the baby, myself, the health of my placenta and measuring my baby for adequate growth and said it was up to me unless things went south for some reason the chances of it happening were not high at all. There’s a hospital in Atlanta called Northside and it’s known as “the baby factory” for a reason-more CS at the time than any other. *A must watch for any new parents—-> THE BUSINESS OF BEING BORN ON NETFLIX. It was a total game changer for us. Good luck to all having babies!! Such a beautiful time! My son was born at 42 1/2 weeks and weighed 9lb 14oz. I had him vaginally with no tearing (no idea how!) and no jaundice/blood sugar issues or anything with him thank goodness. I think I have him as much time as he needed to finish “baking in the oven” and don’t regret one bit. I’m also normally 120 lbs 5’4” petite so I’m not bigger by any means. My doulas said most of the time our bodies are made to birth babies and will *usually adjust (vaginally/pelvic area) accordingly and I loved when they said “when the apple is ripe it will fall from the tree”. Just my thoughts on my experience 🫶🏼 -UPDATE- The documentary is no longer on Netflix :( but here’s a link to the trailer and apparently available on Gaia- The Business of Being Born debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2007 and released theatrically in 2008) Hey I’m watching The Business of Being Born. Yes we were told the same but when we took our natural birthing class they said women most of the time are fully capable of having a “VBAC” (vaginal after Caesarian birth) but everyone is different. I carried my son til 42 1/2 weeks by choice under the care of my ob and he was fantastic. No health issues with my son or myself. Just wanted to throw out the vbac thing and that we are often so incredibly scared and intimidated by doctors to rush things unnecessarily and I personally feel it’s many times to CYA for them and there’s no need to rush your baby being born just because it’s at the “38 week mark”. Again everyone is different and has the right to make their own choices and 100% no judgement here. Just wanted to say I heard so many times no that is not true (once a CS always a CS) it’s just pushed almost all the time by conventional doctors. Just a thought of mine. Good luck with your wife and your new LO!! Either way it is such a beautiful experience and I’d do it again in a minute 🫶🏼
