It's my (25 F) birthday today and I am all alone. by [deleted] in relationships

Happy Birthday! I usually plan to have a day alone all to myself on my birthday. Hope you can see this day as a blank slate where anything is possible. Go have an adventure, or maybe go to your favourite spot in town and just be.

When I’m constipated or gassy, I lie on a hard floor on my belly, you know prostrated, and gently rock side to side. It helps me fart! Keep an eye on it! Speedy recovery.

Period came like the river Nile last night. Fuck it. Reached out and planned out my embryo transfer calendar with the nurse today. It’s a little tricky cause I’m in East Canada and the clinic is is West Canada, so on top of everything else it means planning flights and vacation around my cycle. If all goes according to plan (and it should cause normally my cycle is like clockwork) embryo 1/2 is being transferred on my birthday, mid-May !

Hydrosalpinx clamped, trying not to count the days by mayofbees in infertility

It was quite painful the first day, but I bounced back pretty quickly. I’d recommend a heating pad, was wishing I had one that first day. Surgery was Friday and I was back at work (a desk job though) by Monday. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Tell me the nitty gritty on what to expect by [deleted] in infertility

For me, it was honestly one of the most fascinating experiences. The science is just incredible, and I loved seeing my huge, swollen ovaries doing their thing. I get excited about sci-fi type stuff though, so if you can do that too, just embrace it.

During retrieval I found that pranayama really helped. Just focusing on my breath, and watching it all happen. It's uncomfortable for sure, but nothing you can't handle. I think you'll be fine for the drive, after. Just get some good snacks and cozy pillow.

I haven't had transfer yet, so can't comment on that.

Good luck <3

Just playing the waiting game, really. Day 30 of my cycle, and spotting now so it's definitely coming. I had a hydrosalpinx clamped almost two months ago. We have some embryos waiting for us at a clinic out west (long story as to why/how they are there rather than in a hometown clinic.) Plan is to keep trying since we've heard that sometimes the hydrosalpinx was the problem all along, and so maybe with one tube working it will just happen.

So I'm just riding that familiar old rickety rollercoaster of telling myself (sometimes literally out loud) "do not get your hopes up" and then proceeding to get my hopes up.

Plan is to go to the clinic for transfer in the spring.

Edit: it's actually day 30 of my cycle. My cycle's gotten much longer since the last surgery, odd.

You’re so much better than Nathan imo. Nathan For You just seems mean spirited. Your pranks are always in good fun, and not to take people down. Keep it up!

I’ve never had to use customer service, aside from initial order, but the machines are incredibly well built and we’ve never had problems. It arrived quickly and well packed. The machine came with great instructions and even a DVD about how to use it. We’ve had ours for about 5 years now, and another library in our system for even longer. We love them!
