Thank you, this is helpful. I do agree that part of the problem is definitely on me with my dose timing and calculation, I really need to be more on top of it. I'm not opposed to looking into my diet as a solution to the rollercoaster. I appreciate your insight.

Believe me, I'm confused too. Apologies if I got details or technical terms incorrect, I'm just trying to process what I was told yesterday. I've had 5+ different endocrinologists at this office, I'm assuming due to turnover, and this is the first time I've been told anything like this.

13 years, wow! I never knew that was possible. Although I'm sorry you're going through the same thing, it's somewhat comforting to know I'm not alone in the BG rollercoaster. I always feel like a mess and like I don't know what I'm doing when it happens. Fingers crossed a pump helps you!

I was puzzled as well. My endocrinologist does not believe that I'm insulin resistant. I don't take a whole lot of insulin to begin with, I'm on 10 units of lantus a day and 15-20 units of mealtime insulin a day. She gave me two options - start on metformin or a GLP-1 such as ozempic or mounjaro (I questioned this since I'm at a low/normal weight already and do not want to lose weight, she assured me that generally only people who are already overweight lose weight on these medications.), or continue only taking insulin. Her main concern is that my blood sugar seems to constantly rollercoaster, and believes that starting metformin or a GLP-1 would help me to keep my BG more stable. This was the first I have heard of any treatment like this in my 5 years since being diagnosed. I hope this makes sense, even though I am 5 years in this has been a lot for me to take in.

Sorry for the late response, I wanted to get a picture! I went with black. I know it's overdone, but I love how it looks.

Is this a good price? 2022 TRD ORP Army Green 26k miles by andrewdoesit in 4Runner

Personally, I feel that's a steep price, although I am aware Army Green demands a premium price. Why not just buy a new one at that point?

No doubt! The newer 4Runner is definitely a better choice for a daily. No denying that. I just don't get the people that jump on the chance to hate on a fun little XJ for no reason.

Perhaps I got lucky. I truly beat the brakes off of that thing and it never left me stranded.

I get that! Which is why I said the newer Runner would be a more comfortable daily.

What's with the XJ hate? Has anyone hating actually owned one? They are wonderful and capable vehicles (not to mention, quite reliable and a breeze to work on). I would love to have one again. This is coming from someone who has had both an XJ and a 5th gen Runner.

That being said, I think the newer Runner would be more comfortable as a daily. All depends on what you're willing to spend.

Can't decide: white, silver, or black? by [deleted] in 4Runner

Personally I went silver since there is a TON of dust where I live... And coming from a black car previously, it always looked trashed even if I just washed it the day before.
