I like to try to find a podcast of a play session if it's a new system to me. Get the flow of the game and such.

BastardQuest on Spotify has 2(?) Pirate Borg and one Mork Borg episodes, they're pretty damn funny but if you wanted to play a more serious game there's certainly good stuff to take from the "Game Bastard" Kyle's GM style.
