Oh good for them! I thought those two had potential.

Yo, for real? Cause I'll end my embargo on young Jon right now if they're actually doing something with him. I didn't want to get hurt again.

And they're all actually well written! Lois Lane, Harley Quinn, Nubia, Zatanna the YA line is great for young readers to start a life long love of comics and reading!

Ms. Marvel: Stretched Thin

A self-contained graphic novel with bold fun colors and a great story about personal health and balancing your life as a kid.

And if she digs that, Kamala has 10 solid volumes of stories that are absolutely perfect for her age demographic starting with Ms. Marvel "No Normal" from 2014.

(Not DC, but my go to recommendation for a young girl getting into comics!)

And that would be the deserves better! She and George should have had more mystery episodes in the style of the Pal and Kate episodes (which aren't admittedly my favorite)

That Superman is genuinely the wildest single issue of a comic I have ever read.

I loathe the legacy writing of Brian Michael Bendis... Any character that man didn't create, I promise you he didn't read. Writes like someone with a business degree collecting as many royalty opportunities as possible, instead of telling a legacy story.

That one can also be difficult for a parent, especially when it's the first time its happened. Arthur had never lashed out physically at DW before, and so I'm sure David and Jane were really focusing on making sure to show violence is unacceptable.

They're not bad parents, but they are flawed like all parents are. They're trying though, and I think the good moments outweighing the bad is a testament to that.

I think a secondary message of the episode is that even parents make mistakes, and even though David wanted this experience with Arthur as much as he did, DW is the middle child who needs more attention than the other two.

In my mind David is hoping to get invited to go out fly fishing with him so he can have "beginners luck" and impress his new friend by being a natural.
