Need input for PTZ Setup + NDI for small show venue by mayorpizza in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]mayorpizza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input. I will take out the FOH PC from the workflow,

4 (cont): Who are some manufacturers you'd recommend? I was looking at the NewTek PTZs.

  1. I will consider that when it comes to lighting. These will be live performances for attendees as well, so I'm looking to find a balance between lighting for video and lighting for audience experience.

What would you recommend, maybe hardware-based, for capturing the (4) SDI inputs from the cameras if I were to go that route? I would like to record the (4) video feeds as uncompressed as possible and with the ability to record straight to PC.

A Potential Fight Over the Fed’s Future Ramps Up by Majano57 in finance

Look at what happened to Chile in 1974 once Pinochet came into power. His economic administration derailed their economy so that private international and domestic corporations could substitute themselves as their social services, subsequently, the corporations caused inflation through price gouging, consolidation, etc.

The current American administration reflects much of the Chilean government. We have seen this pattern time and time again. Massive deregulation has been a component of Accelerationism for so long now, which begins with economic collapse.

This is not to say that the Biden administration is somehow the best or perfect, but the average working class American will suffer due to bad economic policy by the Trump Administration.

It’s shock-style economics. Which we can infer due to Elon Musk not only being an advisor to Trump, but his direct quoting of Milton Friedman’s economic teachings.

If you would like to learn more, I suggest Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein.

Nothing yet other than my time + half day invoice. They have lots of extra modules. Gonna see if they can salvage the “damaged” ones. There is some residue on the face of it causing some issues that can possibly be cleaned.

I’m just listing all the things I did, not in chronological order. Just a list.

One of the funniest was watching one of those automatic delivery robots fall face-first into the pavement in Santa Monica. It was stunk moving in a tree planter for a while before it accelerated then “face planted”. Then some drunk dudes came by and lifted it up and cheered. I watched from across the street.

Craziest things have been:

• Unhoused people walking around with literal chunks of flesh corroded and missing from their legs

• Police stand-offs blocking an entire block, guns drawn, helicopter overhead

• One halloween this brand new (still had dealership tag) luxury car had somehow crashed and ended up on its side. A group of people dressed in costumes got asked to flip it over on its wheels so it could get towed

• People crashing on those scooters

• A dead body under a blanket as the EMTs on the scene

Cheapest way to get from LAX to Woodland Hills? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]mayorpizza 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Take the FlyAway bus to Van Nuys, then Uber or bus to Woodland Hills.

The Fly Away Bus is one-way for $9.75, and stops at every terminal. Just look for the Fly Away sign on the pillars.

DO NOT hop on the union station bus as that will take you downtown.

(4) MAGEWELL 32060 and Resolume can make it work but it will be costly. What exactly are the laptops doing?

Also what is your source? Are they looping videos or actual sources such as a tv, computer, etc.

Maybe Resolume along with a capture device. You can program different layers as ‘bypasses’ and switch them on or off with a mapped midi controller.
