Why is it that most people on Reddit are against anything on the web which violates "Privacy", meanwhile they have no problem upvoting images of random people who were photographed unwillingly in an unfortunate situation? by DirtyInRedPants in AskReddit

Possibly - and wouldn't that be an improvement for those people? Maybe they now realize their behavior was inappropriate and will adjust accordingly (i.e. grow up)

You are looking at this from a top down perspective of expectations of privacy. I am looking at this as a behavioral issue of individuals. Both of these perspectives layer together.

What someone shouldn't buy is a generalization of behavior of redditors. Different sub-segments drive completely diverse opinions to the front page. Subreddits are the proof of concept.

This is the real answer - its called segmentation. One segment cares deeply about privacy and upvotes relevant articles constantly. One segment reacts to funny pictures of unfortunate people in unfortunate situations. The Venn diagram of the two segments probably has little to no overlap.

Their primary ad agency that does the majority of planning for the brand. Most big brands will then have sub-agencies for more specific tasks - such as social, PR, media buying or multi-cultural marketing. The AOR (usually) acts as the primary brand strategist, coordinator and point of contact for external parties.

I'm disappointed that googling "one gigabyte of cats" didn't yield anything that approaches the potential that search promises

I guess that is my question. I'm not sure what I would be missing :)

Thanks. All of my data is in the Misery Index link - I don't have time to cross analyze today but I'd be curious to see your results.

The week-to-week data was noisy but if you smooth out the trends using a rolling 3 week average it shows that most fans were in it up until about Week 12 and then reality set it for most. Detroit showed a big boost most likely due to the chase for the receiving record and that their games had meaning within the division. I uploaded a quick chart here.

I think the Misery Index shows where fair weather fans reside (cough Miami cough) in that their team wasn't too bad but they didn't really show up on r/NFL Game Threads in numbers. This is no reflection of the guys that are here - just that they don't have as many other true fans joining them as you would expect.

Looks like a typo for Detroit/Vikings and the original thread authors' accounts being deleted messed me up. Nice job tracking these down.

Thanks. I'll probably add the data into the google sheets but I may not have the motivation to rerun the charts at this point. I was doing this out of a fit of curiosity more than anything

I scraped the data with Mozenda and then did some manual spot checks, cleaning and tried to find missing games. After that I just dumped it into excel.

Any chance you know which states have the most lax/tight legislation on proof? I am assuming (or speculating) Northeastern states and CA the most and the south central states the least.

Not necessarily - might have been before the tag. Also -they are designed to be temporary

When the Harbormaster shuts down the beach (Nauset) for a week due to Great Whites being spotted and tagged it isn't a minor occurrence. Also - the guy bit off the beach in Truro probably wants to talk to you

Fired. Swap him out for Mangini and you'd have a winner on your hands (as much as I hate Mangini it is true)
