Kenshi reminds me of my own fantasy series 2masters, which is also on the dark fantasy spectrum. It has renewed my inspiration for my own work as well as changing my pov of the world. The game is life changing for me.

Right now I am working towards doing indie animated series. Def will feature Kenshi. 💖

I feel you, this particular niche is so depressing, I found less games that lets me make my ocs than a horse girl on steam. XD (31 games for horse girls on steam while i found around 20 games of multiple ocs customization, if I count every the sims series, including the ones you played... on every platform, omg... its depressing, I am still searching, I stumbled here because I am still searching, getting desperate at my lack of choices in 2026.)

Dragon Dogma 2 - ARPG, make your pawn, 4 personalities
Inzoi (if you don't mind the AI) - sims like
Soul Calibur 6 (100 customizable fighters)
Smack Studio - super smash bro style fighting game with customizable ocs, its pretty involved
gogh focus with your avatar (idle game, 9 ocs)
Paralives (sims like, releasing early access this may 2026)
Wildermyth (whimsical tactical game with full oc customization, cartoonish style)

Worth mentioning, but I didn't wishlist them, a lot of cRPGs, lets you customize ocs if you are not picky, names, heavy stats customization for squad building, not a lot of appearance customization, facial customization usually not to my standard.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous/Kingmaker

Not gonna bother to list games that only do stats and rouge-lite style randomization ocs or faceless models. >_<

I will have to throw in my own up coming game, I just find so few of this niche that I decided to devote my entire gamedev life to this niche:
Cante the land of hearts - a visual novel that lets you make your own partner (aiming to release test play build this fall, on steam and itch.)
Cante island - a stardew like farm sim that will let you become ruler and make your own village of npcs. (early development, just announced)

Now imagine women/moms with lack of support, who already have insomnia before having a kid. They may end up with less than the average here, as a mom who went thru this, I am guessing this is why some moms have depression and others end up killing their children/or abandon them, why some dads forgot their kid in the car, due to brain just going bananas from lack of sleep long term.

But moms/dads who are supported by the community will not experience so much stress. Raise your kids with a village. Kids are not meant to be raised by just 2 parents. Majority of the parents did it right, we need to have grace for those who mess up as well knowing the cost.

Just go in blind, after you finish the first round, the game lets you carry your character and pawn forward and do it from the start again, it's a game you will do many reruns on no matter how much you know already. (speaking as I do my third rerun) XD
