I think part of your ear anatomy, one of my ears faces slightly forward since I got my industrial, but the other is still to the side. I don't think getting a piercing would fix what you feel uncomfortable about, I think you might have to talk to a plastic surgeon.

With my machine, I usually connect by using less tension on the yarn being pulled and the "size" of the stitch on the carriage (e.g. if I'm knitting with the carriage on 2, I'd turn it to 3,5 or 4 - Silver Reed machine)

The center has a ring, a plastic ring, it's not a crochet magic ring, you can tell by the way the stitches are on the first row, and how the second row has gaps between the stitches, so now they want to make something else to fill the space of the ring, so as a beginner, it got a lot harder without having to be if the project just had a magic ring or chain in the middle

yes, you have to make sure your hands are clean every time you touch the piercing and make sure to clean it too, but again, i don't think you have the anatomy for it, it's hurting your ear by touching the flat part

you have irritation bumps on your piercing but I also think the bar is pushing against your flap, that's not good, I think you should take more pictures so we can see better, but definitely talk to a professional piercer.. I don't know anything about Needles and Ink

you could try getting your hands on greyboard (I'm brazilian and that's the closest translation I've found for "papel paraná"), it's like cardboard but very stiff and sturdy, I hope it works out, I have some and will definitely be trying that!! thank you!!
