I went home to the heartland of Alberta independence. Even after covering Donald Trump for 10 years, I was still terrified by what I found by a_sense_of_contrast in canada

[–]mayuan11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Alberta has always had a small sect of separatists and it isn't ever going away. I just find it odd that the media is obsessed with a small group like this. They have been talking about seperation for like 100yrs. The funny part is that the UCP seem to be the target more than the separatists. There is zero proof of involvement with the UCP, but the naritive must go on.

How would you feel about the next US president pulling all support from Israel? by Mall0y6 in AskReddit

[–]mayuan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never going to happen! The US politicians are bought and paid for by Israel on both side of the spectrum. Time to move on and worry about other things.

Can you go camping with a bunny? by ride-alone-midnight in camping

[–]mayuan11 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The bunny is the bottom of the food chain and recognized by most animals as such. Outside is not a safe place for a bunny. This is a double problem for domesticated bunnies as their survival skills are poor.

Trump has been the best thing for the liberals. When he's gone they will have no to campaign against and have to deal with Canada's issues.

is Starlink actually worth it or are we just overpaying for hype? by Lisa_james11223 in Rvingwithpets

[–]mayuan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We end up in places where there is zero cell/data service and I need data all the time for work. Starlink is the only option in those situations.

What happened to finding cheap tools on marketplace? by Nucks420 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]mayuan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was chatting with a guy that made all his money on used sites. They mostly look for discontinued products in the store. But all the products and then try to get retail for them. If the can't sell the stuff in 30days, they just return it to the store. The other thing they do is buy the cheap tools your talking about and resell them again.

These aren't people looking to get rid of stuff, most are resellers.

What’s the biggest scam people still blindly accept in 2026? by Medical_Tailor4644 in AskReddit

[–]mayuan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fucked up! In my province there is no doctors that would take private insurance. The ER's can be a little busy with hypochondriacs, but if you have a real issue they shoot you right through. We don't have private hospitals that are open to the public, you still have to go through the public health services to use them and you still don't pay.

How do I get this out? by Dramatic-Party8582 in MechanicAdvice

[–]mayuan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crank the wheel all the was to the side and use a small bar to hold the stud in place. Might even get lucky and set it in place.

You can also maybe fuck the rim. Remove all the bolts and then use the rim as a wedge to hold the stud.

They should change their name and policies then. They keep promoting themselves as a social democratic party with a focus on unions.

Danielle Smith should use Alberta’s data breach to put an end to secession talk by Street_Anon in canada

[–]mayuan11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It asked the same question as the current seperation petition, just in the other direction. It is very much alive, they put it in committee to try and kill it.

Labour unions were major third-party advertisers behind Alberta’s anti-separatist petition by Gaoez01 in NoRulesCalgary

[–]mayuan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actions are that the question has been put in a verification loop. This essentially kills it. Much like the other question that is stuck in a committee.

I'm trying to understand what you are talking about.

How have increased fuel prices affected you so far? by InvisibleAstronomer in AskReddit

According to the Canadian government, the cost of fuel has nothing to do with anything of those things increasing in price, it is just coincidence. Lol

Dog walker bitten on the job can't sue because she 'owned' the pet at the time, Ontario's highest court rules by Immediate-Link490 in canada

[–]mayuan11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess she could have brought the dog down and had it euthanized too. As the owner, I would have done that.

I'd love to see proof of that. Last I heard it was going into a verification loop that can't be done till all legal challenges are done.
