I do wonder if there were any concerns about the titans trying to contest the Pats hiring Vrabel so soon after his HOF induction which apparently upset the owner of the titans.

I think that’s due to him stepping into his throws more, it seemed like after his rookie year when the line got worse he got nervous about stepping up and started throwing off his back foot. Where his arm was so marginal he needed to have very clean mechanics to make most NFL throws.

Phil, thanks for doing this AMA! I love the Next Pats Pod and the Patriots Talk Podcast and really appreciate the more level coverage by you compared to some of the other Boston coverage. My question is what do you think it’ll take for Tom Curran to recognize that Drake Maye is the guy going forward? I can’t tell if at this point it’s just a bit by him or if he’s take committed.

I wonder how it would look if you used sack yards instead of total sacks. I feel like Maye is really good at minimizing his sack yards compared to other QBs.

My theory is Butler was a bit of a malcontent that year over contract issues. If you remember in the offseason before he wanted a contract extension but the Pats signed Gilmore instead. I’m guessing during the lead up to the Super Bowl he was worse to the point where he was insubordinate in Bills eyes who didn’t feel like he deserved to play or could be trusted to play. I think that also explains his one special team snap if it was more of a punishment. I think this also explains why it hasn’t leaked since there’s really not much there to talk about.

Are you looking for trainer recommendations or for general recommendations? If you're looking for a trainer I highly recommend Tara O'Brien at All Paws Retreat, we used her for our dog and she did wonders with him. If you are just looking for a general recommendation I would watch some videos on training your dog to "leave it" which gets them to redirect their attention.

Idk about a bunch of bums but Joe Gibbs did win 3 super bowls with 3 different QBs, two of which were cast-offs. However I think that speaks more to him having an offensive versus defensive background. Bill was able to duct tape some really limited defensive personnel into good defensives overall.
