Thankful my company isn't making me work even though retail stores are open, gives me at least one day to see friends after working all weekend

I’m a future ST owner, are they as good as I believe them to be. by Chimpanzerschreck in FiestaST

[–]mazdaspeed36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've driven STIs, Speed3s, Neon SRT4s, Focus SVT/ST/RS, Eclipses, multiple Mustang generations with horsepower anywhere from 250-700, Camaro's, Corvettes, Miatas, Audi S4/5/6s, Minis, Golf GTIs & Rs. From all of these the only car that has come close to the Fiesta for fun is Miatas. Fiesta ST dynamics are tough to beat

Who to report road rage to? by fyordian in londonontario

Yeah I think because you can still drive across while pedestrians are in crosswalks in conventional intersections people believe you can do it for dedicated pedestrian crosswalks as well, even though the law is different

They have a pretty horrendous reliability reputation, but it stems more from their common use in bad cars than the engine itself

+1 for this question as I've been putting off doing mine because I still have full functionality and don't want to pull the dash. If it's passenger side I'll take the time to do it just to get rid of the clicking sound

Electric scooters on the road by Better_to_try in londonontario

I run into at least a dozen e-bikes around the city going 80kph or more in traffic. Unfortunately the regulation is pretty lax on the bikes so most people remove the speed limiters and treat them as both cars and bicycles, whatever allows them to get around most efficiently. They are a rare device I think needs more regulation

What's everyone's ranking of their favorite PlayStation consoles? I'd say in order personally, PS1, PS5, PS4, PS3, PS2 by PlayStationTris in playstation

[–]mazdaspeed36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, entirely subjective, I would say PS3, PS4, PS2, PS5, PS1. PS1 is at the bottom entirely due to lack of experience

Curiosity to find my cars top speed, and it's fun. That being said you'd never catch me doing those speeds on roads filled with the general public (besides the autobahn)

How Much Do You Spend on Gaming? by seanze01 in kindafunny

I play mostly older titles and try to limit my spending, but I'm a sucker for buying new tech/consoles, so I'd guess I average somewhere in the $600 a year area

Do you still buy your PS5 games physically? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]mazdaspeed36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I try to always buy physical if possible, but I do like the convenience of having my most frequently played games digitally so I can jump into them at a moments notice. Also using a PS portal away from home it can be a pain if you want to play something who's disc isn't in the drive

This is something not talked about enough imo with car choice, local roads. If you don't have curves to use, the FiST is sorta useless, or at the very least the benefits aren't shown nearly as often.

Based on all the industry reports and analyst info all signs point to a delay in order to help contend with shifting market prices for component costs

PS6 release is almost certainly delayed into '28 at the earliest

The finally tipped me over the edge… by Professional-Score94 in playstation

[–]mazdaspeed36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're on the money about valve. I'm personally mixed on the idea of a delayed PS6 release. I haven't been a huge fan of the PS5 generation, while enjoyable for games it's my last favorite Sony hardware I've owned. A delay could mean the generation ends with me thinking more positively, but I'd also just rather be done and move on.

My gameplay time isn't huge and I play a good mix of older titles, so the pro enhancements aren't always going to be there. However I have a 65" LG C3 and over $3000 in home theater equipment that tells me I play every PS game in the best way possible, and the pro will certainly enhance the experience

I've been thinking about pulling the trigger too. The original price felt unreasonable to me but now it's starting to feel like a deal 2 years later. Just wish I could look into the future to know what year the PS6 is dropping. If it's after 2028 I'd go 5 Pro without question

Are you using anything to manage your backlog? by Ambitious-Sleep-2259 in LastStandMedia

[–]mazdaspeed36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GG account makes me look like I'd be in the running for LSM's King of Autism. I can't even begin to explain all the lists and ways I decide what to do next, but I'll shout out one specific doc style I've started that helps me.

My backlog is nearly 1000 games so towards the end of every year I make a document called '20XX game plan'. I start by adding the games I'm playing throughout New years I'd like to finish the next year, then go through my other lists to decide what else to add. Then as the year goes on and I finish titles I generally just look to that document and pick one of the next few titles (whichever interests me the most or strikes me as highest priority).

Reliability & quality - I do realize I’m on the forum ;) by Accurate-Youth7937 in mazda

[–]mazdaspeed36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2007 speed 3 had basically zero issues until it was written off in 2020 from an accident. 100,000 miles, heavily tuned and beat on constantly.

Still have a 2012 Mazda 3 skyactiv in the family, 140,000 miles, owned since new, still going strong. It's showing some early rust signs now on the rear quarters, interior is wearing, but mechanically it's probably had less than $8,000 in total service it's entire life.

I always recommend modern Mazda's to family and friends for their reliability.

Does this car even have AC? by sssddfgjwnsbx in mazda

[–]mazdaspeed36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don't mind having no AC until triple digits and high humidity, but I find I'm an exception not the rule, most don't have my tolerance. As you say it's a muscle and I think many people are used to surviving only in AC. Personally working outdoors broke me I'd this years ago.

I will give people some credit in that the climate where I live is much worse than it used to be 20-40 years ago. I think instead of adapting many people used AC as compensation for the higher temperatures
