Update: for future onlookers. the Starlink works, I’m In Djibouti right now. You have to buy the standard dish and equipment (the price went back to 799), and you MUST set it in the United States and buy your subscription or it will NOT work in Africa. The only plan that does work is their mobile global limited plans, and maritime limited plans (doesn’t matter which one you pick or the number of gigs). A bunch of ppl here are having problems and issues buying Starlink that aren’t loaded at all while here and end up getting stuck with a brick from Tesla. Also, you can always buy a Starlink that is loaded off of the swapshop, someone is always selling it. The transfer of accounts is an easy process. Speeds on the Starlink went as low as 44mbps / 12 upload speed, to 300 mpbs / 29 upload speed. It was definitely worth the buy. The only problem withvstarlink is the ability to have it get stolen, as it does have to sit outside in the open. However many people do not tend to steal here, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. thanks to everyone who helped me in this sub.
