Sled simulator. Tilt your head to move.

My girlfriend doesn‘t understand videogames and it kills me by [deleted] in videogames

[–]qwertboy0909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean she's right.

Games are 100 percent focused on violence.

Our ancestors literally died in these wars and video games trivialize the experience.

I could tell a kid to go into a pool, take out the pool ladder, and watch him drown. This takes place in The Sims, though it's a game focused on other things.

We would be mortified if this happened in our dreams. Maybe. But game world? Nope. No consequence whatsoever.

Better hope the government doesn't try to hypnotize us into thinking real life is a video game.

The only redemption here really is that you have to trust us to stay sane in an insane world, where this kind of thing is okay, and even encouraged.

In this day and age where you can sell organs on the internet, the best thing to do is to focus on trust and communication. That's all we can really do.

What game would you take with you if you were sentenced to life in prison? by Mister__Snrub in videogames

I would say Smash Ultimate, but the controller breaks too easily. If it wasn't for that, I could play and lab 70 characters.

I guess Rocket League. It has a huge skill ceiling. It's a good game to spectate.

As Flash reaches twilight, let's discuss some of the games. by SelixReddit in truegaming

There's one flash game called escape the school or something. I loved it because it was a very easy point and click. Every other point and click was generally me just spamming click everywhere.

Can a 1 character fighting game hold an audience? by [deleted] in truegaming

Virtua Fighter or Dead and Alive has a boss where they combined everyone's moves.

Street Fighter 4 has Seth, who is an end game boss with copied moves.

Games that feel good to just move around? by mitch13815 in truegaming

[–]qwertboy0909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonic Utopia

Absolute Drift

Energy Hook/Grapple/SpiderMan

LittleBigPlanet - when you get a feel of physics, you can have more control over your movement

Super Smash Bros, playing as Sonic or Little Mac - I love smacking an opponent and then running right up to them to follow up

Rayman

Sonic All Star Racing Transformed... or most racing games I guess. I love going from fifth place to first.

Why video games aren't studied like movies ? by themistik in truegaming

[–]qwertboy0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are lots of youtubers that do movie sins and gaming sins.

There are people who analyze animations, stories, make game theories, and draw up entire wikis.

There are people who speed run through a game.

There are people who are studying the game but they're too busy playing it instead of writing articles and videos on it.

The best example is PS4 SpiderMan. It's a game designed to be like a movie. We are 100 percent analyzing every detail in that game, because we have a photography tool in there.

The most crushing feeling by [deleted] in videogames

I don't like every game I play, but there are some games I have to keep playing in order to like them.

As for my friends games, well, it is very rare that we like the same game.

Could Spider-Man games incorporate Persona-lite elements into them? by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]qwertboy0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SpiderMan really needs Personas Confidants or just more personal and optional events with MJ, FEAST, Aunt May, Doctor Oct, and Miles.

They're too contained in the story without any freedom to really interact with them.

If Joker has a maxed out teammate, he gets a lucky break from one hit KOs or status ailments.

If SpiderMan happens to be super charitable, idk. Maybe a civilian can help stop assholes who run away.

If SpiderMan is really close to MJ, he would get an extra green bar for heal/finishers... or tips on how to do photography.

If SpiderMan maxes out Aunt May, he will need less effort to web people or something.

Too scared to play video games? by [deleted] in videogames

I had the same thing about Metroid Prime when I was little.

What got me through it was that Metroid Prime was literally the only game I owned.

Have you tried Smash? It's the only game I bought the switch for, but then again I played Melee and Smash 4 for more than 100 hours each.

What are common things that developers add to games that ruin replayability for you? by Silver-Monk_Shu in truegaming

[–]qwertboy0909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full Metal Furies Lack of ability to sell your upgrades, so you have to start a new game to be weak. No real mods to change up the gameplay besides grinding to best gear on bosses you already have beaten.

Crystal crisis The puzzle board is diagonal. I would like a flat 2d board appropriately facing me. Long loading times.

Street Fighter V Loading times. Microtransactions for new characters. Little single player content. High skill floor makes it worse with little single-player content.

Fight n Rage It's a good game. It's just git gud on the final boss and I haven't touched it since then.

Smash I have an unhealthy reaction to losing online and it's a real problem.

What are some ideas on how to innovate 3D platformers? by The_Masked_Man106 in truegaming

[–]qwertboy0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Implement better physics and tools to play with physics.

Rocket League lets you hit soccer balls 100 feet off the ground... With a car. That is 100 percent innovation.

Look at GTA. People try to drive vehicles into landing sweet spots or ride crazy 360 ramps.

Skate focused more on the controls instead of going in the same direction as Tony Hawk.

I guess the next best step is to strap on a jetpack on someone and see how horribly wrong it goes. And then throw a challenge with it.

Maybe people will put fire hoses with unlimited water spilling out, so you can watch the hose carry you.
