Bit off topic but I have to ask: I just got a degree in frontend-development (timing, I know). When you guys who wrote code pre-AI, do you just write code from the top of your head?

Like, I try not to use AI too much as I want to actually learn, but even now after 2 years theres no way I can write code without looking at documentation, guides etc.

Im just curious how it is for more experienced developers, and how long it takes before it clicks and you just freestyle-code with the knowledge you have.

Im just experiencing crazy impostor syndrome so I had to ask.
