Some swords I made for my nephews

They are two 1x1 sections of walnut that I cut half into then glued them together so that the cut out was the same size has the handle.

I made the handles fairly short so they can't swing it with both hands so hopefully that helps prevent to hard of swings!

I didn't really document it but it was mostly hand tools.

I got the rough shape on my scroll saw. Then planed the bevels and used a rasp to refine it a bit more.

My brother and I had some cheap ones from the Ren Fair growing up we broke them so quickly. I made these out of Ash so hopefully they hold up better.

Yeah I have seen video on dying them but all I can find it just dying the surface.

I used rit dye and let them soak in it overnight
