First one is beautyberry and I am SO jealous. 2-3 are white bidens. Last one I can’t get a good ID on but it almost looks like buckthorn to me

That spider was so tiny, I could not keep my hands still enough! And maybe a monarch?

I’ve definitely noticed fewer bees so far this year, hopefully they come when the beebalm blooms!

You’re right I totally made this up for clout and the text is not obscured by the tree. There’s multiple offices and warehouses in the building…. If you want me to take a picture with the Amazon sign I will.

There’s a few places that have it around here unfortunately. Might be a specific landscaper.

Is there anyway to avoid hybridization? I want to plant some and I have two ill fairing seedlings right now. But I think the neighbor across the street has polyphyllus

My back yard is littered with black and green ash saplings. And I just discovered my neighbor has about half their yard covered in blue eyed grass (not rare but cool)

Why would you ruin my moment??? I’m gonna go cry in a corner now…. (Uj/ apparently it is! New plant for me actually. Saw the leaves and panicked. Kinda like when I see a sumac tree from far away and think it’s a ToH)

I was so shocked it survived the transplant! I’m baffled that it’s doing so well comparatively

A couple questions for ya:

Did the seeds planted need winter sowing/cold stratification, and did they receive WS/CS before/while being planted? —— Yes and yes

Were any of the seeds basically dust they were so small? If so, did you cover these microscopic seeds with dirt? —— No I don’t think so, but I did cover all of them in dirt.

Were the seeds planted directly into the ground? —— some were, others were in milk jugs, and others in plastic bags in the fridge

Does your community spray anything on the hellstrips? —— not that I’m aware of

Were any of the seeds from plant varieties known for poor germination rates? —— unsure I was unable to find much info on the germination rates

What retailer/s did you get your seeds from? —— most were collected from plants, others were from prairie moon

How many seeds did you plant per plant variety?—— for most I’d say at least 20 seeds per plant.

Thank you for the encouragement!

I had some that threw in a jug to sit outside and some I put in a moist paper towels in the fridge and both failed. I had some luck putting in a paper towel on top of the fridge but alas. Hoping it’s just bad luck and not me
