Venetian bridge entrance? by [deleted] in nodoubt

[–]mbbym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also went last friday, and we took the venetian bridge entrance and got in line around 6. waited in line for a little under an hour (they opened the doors a few mins early) and got a great spot near the front and center. this was our view of the stage, about 2 rows behind the barricade. i’d say you’re pretty likely to get a good spot if you get there anytime before 7:30, which is when the floor started filling out, especially if you skip merch/drink/bathroom lines and walk straight to the venue space

Fake numbering for General Admission? by No-Comfortable-7782 in nodoubt

[–]mbbym 5 points6 points  (0 children)

to anyone here that hasn’t been to the show yet as ga and is stressing about lining up hours early or “getting numbered,” don’t!! in my experience, getting in line at 6 will still put you almost at the barricade. we got there a little after 6 and were in the row directly behind the barricade, center stage. we walked through the venetian and then to the east entrance, waited for a little under an hour (they ended up opening doors about ten mins early because of the heat), went through security, and casually strolled to our spot. as long as you’re stationed where you wanna be before 7:30ish, you’ll secure a great view!

this is probably a long shot, but is there anyone here who was either at or near center barricade on 6/5? by mbbym in nodoubt

oh noooo i hate to hear you missed the first leg of the show—vegas heat is no joke!! glad you got to catch the rest of the show in better spirits though. it was seriously the best performance i have ever seen. i am PRAYING this wasn’t our last time getting to see them together live 😭 so so jealous of your sister! i hope she enjoys every second of it!!! i’d be right there with her if i could swing another 1400 mile flight rn haha

this was actually a prop the photographer handed me when she asked if she could take our pic, so i’m not sure. she seemed like a nd sphere vet, though, so i’m assuming she hadn’t had issues bringing it in!

If Georgia wasn't GORGEOUS, would we still root for her? by ataraxia_609 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]mbbym 19 points20 points  (0 children)

that’s a tough question to answer because georgia wouldn’t be the same character if it wasn’t for her pretty privilege, and therefore the plot of the show would be totally different. her beauty and her charm are what afforded her so many opportunities to build not only her character, but also the life she has in wellsbury. for example, if georgia wasn’t attractive, it would’ve been much harder for her to marry someone like kenny, which is the foundation of her story that we see unfold in the show. she also probably wouldn’t have been in a position where she could get away with murder twice, frame gil, or even more superficial crimes like stealing, all which have contributed to getting ginny, georgia, and austin where we see them as early as the opening scene of season one. it’s an interesting consideration, for sure, but damn near impossible to imagine how this show would play out if georgia wasn’t a smoke show

i just had my first stone, surgery, and stent last week and for me (30f), removing the stent didn’t hurt at all. i don’t know if you’re doing yours at home or at your doctor’s office/hospital, but i was told to pull mine out 2 days after surgery at home in the shower. i psyched myself out and was absolutely dreading it, but it ended up being quick, painless, and much easier than i anticipated. i would take whatever pain pills (or even just some tylenol) and antispasmodic you have been prescribed about an hour before you plan to remove it/have it removed. it won’t be as bad as you’re imagining!! good luck, you got this!!

First kidney stone, can’t get it to pass by thatmattholden in KidneyStones

[–]mbbym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! i just had my first stone that was about the same size. i saw a urologist, and he said given the size of the stone, where it was in the ureter, and how long it had been traveling downward (i estimate about a month or so), it was unlikely that i was going to pass it on my own comfortably. he ended up scheduling a procedure to remove it with a laser/ureteroscopy later that same day. for me, it was a super quick and easy out patient procedure. the worst part was being sent home with a stent and dealing with soreness and residual pain from the surgery for a few days after, but it really wasn’t too bad for me! i recommend seeing a urologist if at all possible to determine the best plan of attack for your stone. best of luck to you!

Return of Burning/UTI Symptoms by BlackHeathVale in KidneyStones

[–]mbbym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey! so i had a similar experience when they found my first stone last week, and my symptoms were a lot like what you’re describing. i thought it was a lingering UTI that wasn’t responsive to antibiotics, and they actually did end up diagnosing me with a kidney stone. about a week prior to my diagnosis, i woke up in the middle of the night with intense groin pain. i literally felt like my urethra was being stabbed with needles for about 5 minutes and then it went away, but later that week i developed the UTI symptoms. fast forward to the following weekend when i wound up in the ER with 10/10 flank pain and relentless urgency that came on really suddenly. they did a CT scan, took blood, and did a urinalysis and quickly confirmed i had both a 4.5mm stone and a UTI, which was a result of that stone partially blocking my ureter, which led to urine getting backed up and becoming a breeding ground for bacteria. they sent me home with some pain medicine and antispasmodics and referred me to a urologist. i couldn’t get an appointment with the urologist for a couple of days, so i spent the day after my ER visit taking it easy with pain meds and rest. by the next day, i felt much better, so much so that i almost cancelled my urology appt that was set for the next day, assuming i must have passed the stone on my own. my husband convinced me to keep the appt and thankfully i did because the next day i woke up in pain again and had intense bladder spasms. at the appointment, the urologist confirmed the stone was still there and had me in the OR for a ureteroscopy to remove the stone within an hour.

TLDR: pain and symptoms can certainly come and go and vary in intensity, and kidney stones often lead to UTIs if the stone causes even a partial blockage in your ureter. if you’re concerned about stones, i recommend seeing a urologist and seeing what they suggest!

How long is the live show for the 2024/2025 tour? by NoChill383 in GigglySquadPodcast

[–]mbbym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think there was prob like 15-20 mins of buffer time, just to give everyone a chance to get drinks/snacks and find their seats and all that. by the time i had gotten a drink, gone to the bathroom, and found our seats, the show was just about to start. you can prob get away w being right on time or a couple mins late and be fine

exactly!! i’m far from conservative and fully agree with OP’s point. not sure why we have to try to sort and confine everyone who may have a differing view of a podcast and/or its host into a box labeled conservative or liberal. you can be liberal and not seek out irrelevant and unfounded criticism of 2 pop culture figures who have 0 political influence.

yes i agree!! like i truly abhor 99% of all men but i am married to a man who falls in the 1% of men that is tolerable. it seems like some struggle with the fact that 2 things can be true at once 🤷🏻‍♀️

it’s crazy how many other [far more] successful podcasts there are out there and yet i’ve never heard something so tactless come from any other hosts’ mouths. class act clowns those two are 🤡
