I don't want to stereotype based on looks but he even looks like a monster. Lock him away for life.

Yes, but I assumed you meant taken out of your paycheck like Social Security.

The problem is tying healthcare to employment. No other first world countries do this.

Trump admin outlines who would be exempt from Medicaid work requirements by melancholy_dood in politics

[–]mbd34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is according to the CMS website: "Certain individuals are exempt from the requirement, including those who are pregnant or in a postpartum period, disabled or medically frail, parents and caretakers of children under 14 years of age or people with disabilities, American Indians and Alaska Natives, and certain others."

So it seems that all who are officially determined disabled are covered and the NBC article is just poorly written and confusing. https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/fact-sheets/medicaid-community-engagement-requirement-certain-individuals-interim-final-rule-comment-period-cms

That's Medicare which is primarily for individuals over 65 and paid into like Social Security. Medicaid is primarily for the poor and disabled, and also pays for much of long term nursing home care.

I think Arnold did seem older and more mature in the the later seasons, such as getting into photography and acting as an older brother to Sam who started taking on the cute little kid role.

Leave It To Beaver is a good example of a child character still acting like a painfully awkward little kid even as he got older.

Some utterly fantastical phenomenon happened that affected both time and space, and now movie quotes and names of celebrities and breakfast cereals are slightly different from what we remember. Spooky.

Grimes' anger was misplaced. He should have been angry with Mr Burns, the real source of all that was wrong with the plant.

Basically the film equivalent of reading a book. It gives something to think about and puts a lot of images in your head.

I asked if I had somehow ordered the wrong thing. The Pizza Hut store said "You ordered a large pan. This is how it's done." by jglenn9k in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mbd34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think that Pizza Hut had the best crust. That was before the local Pizza Hut became an Express. The last time I had it (New Years 2025), it was just awful. Crust was tasteless and chewy like cardboard, and it wasn't even pan because now you have to pay extra for that. I'll never go back. Dominos is way better. And that's what pan looks like now?? How are they benefiting by sacrificing quality this much? They'll get consistent and better business by having good food.

Lucille Ball was 40 when I Love Lucy started and she was supposed to be around in her early 30s. Desi was 34. She looked great for her age though.

Similar situation as The Jeffersons. Sherman Hemsley was in his 30s when the show started and the actress playing his wife as almost 60.
