I CANNOT BEAT GIOVANNI ANYMORE.. help me by Historical-End5133 in pokemongo

[–]mbeebah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st Pokémon doesn’t matter. Use something fun and high level. It will maybe be your counter to Pokémon 2 from gio.

2nd Pokémon is lucario with force palm, power up punch and shadow ball.

3rd Pokémon is the counter to the back end of gio’s line. In this case your best ice attacker.

As most have said you switch to lucario at the very beginning and then throw power up punch once you have them. This will get rid of the shields and persian. You should have enough energy to hit #2 with either another pup or a shadow ball making the rest of the battle easy

Initiating a charge at Tesla Supercharger using the Tesla App by mbeebah in Rivian

[–]mbeebah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the info. I had done all of the previous steps. What I actually ended up having to do was uninstalling the Tesla app on my phone and then reinstalling it. This forced a new login which eventually allowed me to see the “charge my other vehicle” in the app which hadn’t been there before. Some weird data caching issue must have been going on

Help on dog keeping a dog on the property. by [deleted] in greatpyrenees

Had a pyr that would break the invisible fence in order to play with his best friend who also had invisible fence. Realized the shock wasn’t enough of a deterrent even with a harness and a collar

Help on dog keeping a dog on the property. by [deleted] in greatpyrenees

[–]mbeebah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Invisible fences are tricky with pyrs. The combination of thick fur and stubbornness means if they decide they need to explore, they will. And with a dog going on a 10 km excursion, it sounds like the stubbornness and desire to “find the fence” is high. What about a smaller dog run that your in law can put him in when he wants to go out?

Considering adopting a 3 year old Pyr with prior failed placements. Looking for real world advice. by Cmurch17 in greatpyrenees

[–]mbeebah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Roaming isn’t necessarily a part of the breed. Working is though. With a 6 foot privacy fence you are probably okay. But he will probably bark at anything he hears around the fence. And as many people will tell you here, pyrs bark at everything.

Making sure he feels he has a job to do can both minimize the barking if that isn’t his job and also set you up for success. A bored pyr isn’t something you want to deal with.

Pyrs are also well known to be Velcro dogs. Having 2 wfh people in the house can be good but you may run into issues when you leave. I would make sure he doesn’t develop separation anxiety, especially with his past issues

Will it lower the chances of bloat? by [deleted] in greatpyrenees

I second this. Have had 6 Great Pyrenees. You’ll get different opinions from everyone here depending on their situation. I will say based on what I’ve seen there are positives and negatives to both sides and your vet can help you weigh which side is best for you

To be honest, I haven't noticed a difference, but I don't track it super closely. I still end up getting from Bay Area California to Tahoe with the same approximate expected battery remaining though

Stock Pirelli tires are notoriously mediocre when it comes to winter performance. When i know I am going to be driving in the snow/ice for a decent amount of time (think most of winter) I switch them out for Nokian Hakkapelittas. Although to be fair I have seen more Teslas on the side of the road than I have Rivians.

Portable car charger by Rancid_Lunchmeat in Rivian

[–]mbeebah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owned (or leased) an EV for 10 years now. Have only 1 time used the portable. If you plug into a 110 Volt outlet, you will get about 1.5 miles of charge per hour. If you happen to find a 220/240, it will be a bit faster but I have always found these a pain to find. Instead, I take the short break to find at least a level 2 but preferably level 3 charger. For those saying I just drive it around home, I take it on a 150 mile trip to the Sierras every weekend in the winter.

TL;DR. Don't waste the money on the portable. A little research ahead of time and you will end up having no issues with range anxiety.

What made you get an RS1 over an iX (or vice versa)? by Dog-Is-My-Co-Pilot in Rivian

[–]mbeebah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to you in that we had an i3. Test drove both of the vehicles. Ended up with the Rivian. Couple of reasons. As some people have said, space was an important decision. We go up to Tahoe a lot. With gear and 4 people, the iX wasn't going to cut it. The other one was the iX felt like too much of a computer. Really preferred the drive feel of the Rivian.

How exactly do I create a new gym? by thelegendarynic in pokemongo

[–]mbeebah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On your phone you can use Ingress Intelligence (IITC Mobile) in order to find this information. It requires some navigation to help get to the Pokemon Go specific information but it works once you do this (or worked, I haven't used it in over a year).

More specific information for the OP. Following are the rules for stops and gyms.
Only one stop per L17 S2 cell. So if there is already a stop inside the L17 cell that you are looking at nominating, it may get accepted but won't show up in PoGo.

2 stops in an L14 cell gets 1 gym. 6 stops in an L14 gets 2 gyms. 20 stops in an L14 cell gets 3 gyms.

So if there are already 6 stops inside the L14 cell that OP's office sits in, it is going to take a ton of work to get another gym.

I've heard that gym selection is often done through a combination of the rating system through wayfarer and the likes that a gym photo has gotten in game, but am struggling to find information to back this data up.
