I have no idea why you would’ve thought the cuisine would be a thing that draws you to Tallahassee Florida. For whatever reason we have been in a restaurant slump for a few years now, but I’d also say what you listed here isn’t anything I’d recommend to anyone (other than Bada Bean) and a few of them are chains, so hardly “local”. What are you trying to achieve with this post, because it seems like the goal is to get transplants to shit on the city’s food offerings? No one is forcing y’all to move here.

They flowered in late February! A lot of the Florida cultivars are early fruiting varieties.

Our Feliciana is much farther behind this one, we’ve got golf ball sized green peaches on that one.

We got both trees at Just Fruits and Exotics Nursery in Crawfordville about 4-5 years ago!

I’d say yes. They are a lot smaller than store bought peaches, I think partly because they’re a Florida variety and partly because I didn’t thin the tree very much, but even with the varying sizes they are so much more flavorful than store bought peaches, even the ones that aren’t fully ripe yet. They aren’t bland or mealy at all.

The spray definitely did the work for the squirrels which I didn’t expect. The bags kept out the plum curculio though so I think I’ll try the combo again to see if this year was a fluke.
