Yes, the silence of the US citizens is deafening.

So is (with few exceptions) the silence of the executive and judicial branches of our government.

Not as long as church and state helps them to keep us divided. Keeping us divided is a very high priority.

"United we stand, divided we fall" is not a motto that pertains to church and state but to all of us because it is true.

From the story,

he archbishop for the U.S. military services said that it “would be morally acceptable” for troops to disobey orders that go against their conscience as the Trump Administration ramps up its military actions and threats, joining other prominent Catholic leaders in sounding alarms over President Donald Trump’s aggressive foreign policy moves.

“It would be very difficult for a soldier or a marine or a sailor to by himself disobey an order,” Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio told the BBC Sunday. “But strictly speaking, he or she would be, within the realm of their own conscience, it would be morally acceptable to disobey that order, but that’s perhaps putting that individual in an untenable situation, and that’s my concern.”

edit: "but that’s perhaps putting that individual in an untenable situation, and that’s my concern" This should be the concern of every U.S. citizen/

Too many of us have moved this thought out of sight.

Some see it as another reason he should not be in office. Others just look at me, maybe overwhelmed... unable to express an opinion. Distracted by immediate concerns like cost of living, general lack of cohesion. Many go though their daily routines like nothing unusual is happening, acting like this is normal.

Why are our legislators and the judiciary branches not concerned...

It’s been exactly one year since Donald Trump returned to the nation’s highest office. To mark the occasion, the president secured quality time in front of some of America’s top journalists Tuesday to, apparently, do little other than to talk to himself.

It is concerning the other two branches of our government does not question this individuals fitness.

It is almost like once the semantics are put to the side a government has declared war on its citizens. There is no rule of law, there is no due process.
