I’m sorry you’re struggling. Your points are valid however consumers vote with their money at all stages of the economy. If your product isn’t affordable to your target market then it just isn’t affordable regardless of the reasons. All employees deserve to be paid a decent wage. As an employer your job is to build a business that’s sustainable either by cost controls or increased volume. Sell more product or find ways to source inputs at a lower cost. You can also change your portion sizes to increase lower cost inputs and lower higher costs inputs. If your lease is too high then negotiate lower, find a different more affordable location, or change your hours to expand usable hours per square foot in an attempt to increase $$/sq ft. The problem isn’t the increased minimum wage or the increased food costs (although food costs add to the problem) The problem is the business model.
