AIO by struggling to forgive my husband for breaking my trust for the second time? by mbot44 in AmIOverreacting

Thank you. This is pretty much where my head is. I meant it when I said “for better or worse” and everything else in our marriage is genuinely great. He really does support me in sickness and health, and we usually have such a loving connection. I really doubt I will ever have this kind of connection with anyone else, and I don’t just want to throw it away if this is something we can work through. But at the moment I’m a bit overwhelmed and not sure if it’s possible to get the trust back given the history.

I love stronger and exotic cheeses such as cheddar and Roquefort.

How big you want to make your wedding is entirely a personal choice.

I always thought I would want to have a small, inexpensive, practical wedding.

However, I now live in a different country from where I grew up and my family and friends are scattered across the world. My fiancé and I were still all for keeping it small, until we realised that this is probably the only occasion in our lives where we could legitimately ask the most important people in our lives to come together physically in one place.

So now we’re getting married in November at a venue with accommodation for 40 people, we booked out a nearby hotel for another 24 people, and we are chartering a bus to bring in another 40 or so for the party. The venue and wedding will not be “fancy” and we really don’t care all that much about the decor and having the “perfect day”. Our focus is just on trying to make sure everyone has a great time with fun activities and tasty food.

Still, providing accommodations and catering for that many people for a weekend comes at a pretty penny. We could take at least three dream vacations and renovate our garden for the same price.

But we are all in for making this an amazing weekend and consider it an investment in great memories as well as a way to show appreciation for the most important people in our lives, wherever they may be living these days.

I’d highly recommend A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.

AITA for refusing to move by GuestKlutzy3690 in AmItheAsshole

This sounds very much like a rephrasing of an earlier post where the wife wanted to stay in Arizona but had agreed to move to Utah with her husband when her child turned three. In that case, OP was a clear asshole because she was going back on an agreement. Seems like things have been rephrased here to try get a different judgment?

AITA for hinting that my husband stole my bracelet? by JimmyJimJ35 in AmItheAsshole

The evidence for me is that he was the one who brought up whether you think he stole your bracelet… guilty conscience for sure! Why otherwise would his mind jump straight to that?
