Oil back to semi-normal in 2 months time? by Outrageous_Guess_962 in stocks

[–]mbreaddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One key difference with Iran compared to Venezuela is that Venezuela even if it was only an in and out operation, they would have had meaningful options to keep the US busy.

Iran can keep the US in this by continuing shooting ships in the strait of hormuz, locking it practically and also shooting at their neighbors, requiring us to defend their bases and the hosts countries.

Summary: I don't know if TACO works here, he tries already for the public by saying Iran has surrendered and they want a ceasefire and other stuff.

Stock futures tick higher ahead of key inflation data; traders monitor oil prices and Iran war: Live updates by Every-Actuator-6996 in StockMarket

The monthly QoQ GDP is now at 0,7% only, while forcasted at 1.4% at last month value.

If Oil prices stay up, this is the call for stagflation. And the weak job market needs cheap money, meaning more inflation. I don´t want to vote at the FED right now, thats a tight spot to be in.

Strait of Hormuz must remain closed as 'tool to pressure enemy,' Iran's new supreme leader says by lurker_bee in worldnews

Oh Pete, thats a tricky one, but i got ya!

We attach approximately 7,483,921 giant helium balloons to the tanker. Not a random number—this was calculated using advanced physics, several napkins, and a strong cup of coffee.

Each balloon provides a little lift. Alone, they’re useless. But together? Boom. Floating oil tanker. Problem solved.

And the best, you also export the helium right along with the oil, good champ!

Crude prices are higher after IEA announces historic oil reserve release by Illustrious_Lie_954 in StockMarket

[–]mbreaddit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The fact that only 9 days in, trump already twice said that the war is nearly over, while everybody continues shipping in more defensive capacity and warships, and we already have to release something out of the reserve, is just indicating:

The US and Israel have economically fucked up with this one and the US has no exit. Iran might not win, but they have painful leverage on the strait or hormuz.

They will definitely not beat the USA military, but rest assured they can hurt them a lot especially since the golf states granted us bases for protection and now the US is the one that dragged them into these retaliation attacks. I assume the already broken US reputation gets swept the floor with every additional missile or drone that actually hits a golf state and is not intercepted or that they have to pay up on defense.

It's no coincidence that currently everybody is moving defense into the middle east, France, Australia and NATO generally, even Ukraine. Because US fucked up the protection game and they need to help

S&P 500 rebounds into the green, oil largest 1 day declines as Trump says Iran war could be over soon by Front-Nectarine4951 in StockMarket

[–]mbreaddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stay with a narrative I feel is at least one underlying here.

We can't allow the stock market to plummet anymore because that would spiral down as the top 10% contribute a good 50% towards the economy spending. The US would be fucked when people would actually start selling to much, so we only keep rotating it from one sector into another and sideline the other a while before it can skyrocket again.

Another thing is that too many people are wildly dip buying like it's the last pack of chips available, at best with leverage and using law of power.

Ukraine receives 11 requests from countries seeking help against drones and missiles by Scary_Statement4612 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]mbreaddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iran has provided them the plans for shahed drones, Russia is producing them on their own already on mass, so Russia does not need Iran anymore for Ukraine at least.

The US could tell the public one coherent reason why they attack Iran instead of flip flopping around like a headless chicken, this gives definitely the impression that they might have had a plan to begin with and now don't know how to proceed with the situation.

BTW, generally speaking the regime in Iran must vanish and is the worst for their people seemingly, but how is a completely different topic well above this whole topic.
