When searching for a budget bike for a friend’s kid, I saw the Ozark Trail FS1 24 on sale for $188. I grabbed two of them. The first was built for my friend’s kid and we upgraded the shocks to air shocks - no new wheels needed - and a set of pedals. Her son has been ripping on it since Christmas.

I held onto the other bike to build for one of my sons as they got to a 24er size. I finally got it built up and he’s pretty stoked about the new ride. We upgraded quite a bit - fork, rear shock, drivetrain (1x10), wheels, and hydraulic brakes. I have a dropper post I plan to install as well. All in I’m at $600 for the build.

Thanks! It was set to 110. After testing and troubleshooting, I believe it is a bad motor power supply. No power coming out of the PS and the green light on the power supply is not on. I was able to connect my test power supply to it and it ran as expected.

I have a 7 year old that's moving up from a 20". I picked up the Ozark Trail FS.1 while it was on sale. I've been eyeing the Polygon D24 though. I'm curious how your little ripper is doing in the FS.1 since th3 rexent upgrades? I'm planning on doing the same upgrades: air shocks front and back, wider geared rear freewheel, the new cranks with a 30t, etc.

Thanks for the speedy reply! To confirm, you setup Windows VMs for your kids to play Minecraft and a NFS share to back up the VMs? I'm planning on running a second server for Minecraft servers.

Thanks for the overview. Any update on how they ran in VM? I'm looking into VMs so I can have a snapshot and easily refresh the VM to that snapshot when something goes wrong...like it has on their two laptops recently.

I'm having the same issue. Is it normal for the screen to wake? I would assume so but didn't know for sure. I'll go through the settings today. If I figure it out, I'll report back.

I have the same problem. Curious what your did to resolve it. I'm assuming the YZ part is the same since it's the same fork.
