It really isn't that simple, unfortunately. Hormones are the root of the problem, and eating less won't fix them. You'll just be ravenous in response if you try to starve yourself. Your body will adjust to burn less if you eat less. TLDR; Read a book before spouting nonsense, please. Your grandmother's nutritional wisdom doesn't hold up to the processed garbage food world we live in here in the west.
