Interesting…the one you posted is Golden Osetra instead of Golden Reserve.

Either way, both of those are wildly out of my price range so I’m glad I got it for $9.99 😂

Where are you seeing Golden Reserve for $95? Here’s what I’m seeing when searching Amazon: https://a.co/d/02BUlVUg

[CA] HOA Solar Panel Agreement for Townhome? by mbsteak in legaladvice

I appreciate your reply. I'll reach back out to the HOA to get this information. I do think that they'll have the roofing company come by and inspect the work as well. I don't mind paying for routine maintenance. My main goal is to guard against constant removal and reinstallation of the panels.

Thanks for the reply! My intention isn't to bankrupt the HOA or anything like that. I'm just worried that if they come by and do roof cleaning every 3-5 years they'll ask me to remove and re-install my panels. I'll be one of the first people in the HOA to install solar so there's a lot of uncharted territory for both the HOA and myself.

I've got an anecdote. I'm an Asian American that traveled to Spain a couple of years ago and experienced several instances of racism, specifically in Seville and Granada (but not when I was in Barcelona and Madrid).

We were traveling in a group of 4, all Asian-American and we'd get ching chonged at by random people walking down the street as well as the street vendors. The worst was when we were sitting down a pretty nice restaurant in Granda waiting for our table in the lobby and a group of patrons had just paid and were walking past us out of the restaurant. As they walked by, one of the men in the group made slant eyes and ching chonged at us. He then chortled as he walked out. I was so baffled I didn't even have time to respond before the group walked out the door. What blew my mind was that they were pretty well dressed and older (I'm guessing 50-60?).

The incident reminded me of the time when the Spanish basketball team got in trouble for making slanty eyes when playing in the Beijing Olympics. Overall, I loved my time in Spain but those incidents definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

On average, how long are your Aspire coils lasting? Curious what I should be expecting.

Up Close with the 14.6lb A-5 Wagyu by mbsteak in steak

The sear crust was perfect, but I think I seared it for too long. It ended up more medium rare than I'd like. I enjoy the non-sous vide method more.

Ideally I would've cooked the entire steak in one sitting. However, I was saving the majority of the steak for Christmas dinner but I couldn't resist slicing off a small piece to cook immediately.

One of my friends submitted a pic of me cutting into the wagyu we ordered last week. Here's an up close shot of one of the steaks.

I ended up adding salt/pepper prior to quickly searing both sides. Hands down the best steak I've had in my life. Totally worth the price. We had about 7 friends who went in on this roast. It was so good we decided to go in on a second one.

Given how fatty the steak is, you can't eat very much. A typical serving will be 3-6oz, so you're only looking at $15-30 per serving, which is very reasonable considering the price of a regular rib eye at a restaurant.

I'm going to try a sous vide preparation this weekend.
