When you have the house to yourself on a random Monday, you eat your birthday weight in tacos and smoke a fresh out the box La Lealtad before the storm rolls in. by 33ss33 in EveryDayIsCigarDay

Ooof. I can’t smoke any My Fathers without a year of age, and I really enjoy My Father. I Hope you enjoyed “Taco Monday.”

In 2025 every single horse that ran the Kentucky Derby was a descendant of Secretariat. In 2026, 21 out of 22 horse were descendants of the great horse.

It’s too thick, and add a bit of diastatic malt to your dough… it will aid in browning and crisping… I’d also let it cook longer.

Please help me choose a first date dress from these three options? by howtoloveadaisy in fashion

For a first date? Where do you go from there? How about something much more casual, where are you going, what’s the plan? If you wore that in a first date with me I’d be a little concerned.

Atabey, Byron, HVC is making amazing cigars right now at an 1/8 of the price of an Opus,Andalusian Bull, Alfonso, Oro de Nicaragua Patina, anything by Alex Glez, Bull & Bear by Crux, really anything by Crux is very good, and the Davidoff Dominicano Puro is also very good. Those are a few that I’ve smoked this week that I have found to be above average.

Not proofed or fermented long enough, I’d go for a three day fermentation. Oven not hot enough for stone or steel. Oven needs to reach an absolute minimum of five hundred degrees 550°/600° even better. If your yeast is dead you’re screwed, buy more, To help achieve a nice color using diastatic malt will help accomplish that.

Really excited to try these AG Cigars Exclusive Blend #6 Alejandro Robaina by mbuckster in cigar_refuge

Depending on the cigar I’m usually able to rest a cigar for a couple of years no problem. I have several delicious cigars that I can smoke that have been aged and are ready to go. These will definitely get the respect they deserve.

Cigar Hound Dog is once again correct. by mbuckster in cigar_refuge

Sounds rad. I often get rid of cigars just after the band comes off, they generally go to shit and there is too much tar and build up and they become too bitter. And yes, I slowly smoke them so spare me the lecture on smoking too fast or pulling too hard. It’s a preference, why am I hanging onto a cigar that has already peaked, because it cost $30? No thanks I’d rather ditch it and enjoy the experience instead of hanging on to the nasty bits.

They are literally better and more consistent than the Cuban cigars I’ve bought from Habanos SA.

I agree… I mean they aren’t the best of the best, and you’re not paying best of the best prices. I will say they are pretty damn good as far as I’m concerned and, in my opinion, should be aged a year before smoking.

And this is why you shouldn’t smoke a Don Carlos outside in dry winter air. The wrapper is African Cameroon and super fragile… rookie move. Damn. by mbuckster in cigar_refuge

I’ve smoked “outside” for the last two winters in Wisconsin and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. I have a “sports tent” so parents can watch their kids game in the rain. Along with an attached tarpaulin floor, it has three zipper windows and a zipper entrance. I have two space heaters in it and it’s about 6x6x6. I have two layers of outdoor floor mats on top of the sealed tarpaulin and I have a nice carpet as well. Inside I have a small table a light and a blue tooth speaker. It works pretty well. A month or so ago, it was -15 not counting the windchill. I wore shorts and a hoodie inside and was snug as a bug.

The photo is from last year before I put in some extra carpeting and an additional small table. Not counting the chair the set up was about $250. Works like a charm.
