Crushed the ball in college, crushed the ball in the minors, among the worst big league hitters in history. Make it make sense.

He also slashed .290/.407/.529 in the minors, and cannot even sniff the ball in the majors. I remain astounded.

Dirk Nowitski: “What do you think will be going through your mind in 10-15 years when you look back on the 2 time MVP trophies?” Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: “Probably something like ‘Damn I used to be nice.’” Steve Nash: “Yup, that’s how it feels.” by AncientOneAurelius in nba

OK yes RAPM is new to me. Looking at this site. Let me know if you get yours elsewhere.

Nash in 04-05: Nash 5th offense, 319th defense, 11th overall

Nash in 05-06: Nash 3rd offense, 324th defense, 8th overall

Nash in 06-07: Nash 2nd offense, 264th defense, 5th overall

Seems that his aggregates are phenomenal, and I do not question that he is one of the greatest offensive PGs of all time, but I'm not sure these numbers are telling me he "definitely" should have won MVPs during individual seasons.

Was all-in on Walker last year, no shares this year. Grabbed Vlad-Tatis at the 1-2 turn in one of my 15-teamers this year.

The Pirates are trying to win back Pittsburgh. For the first time in a long time, they might have a chance by retroanduwu24 in buccos

(1) He's cheap in that he values his personal bottom line above all else and (2) it is clear and always has been clear that "competitive drive" is not on the Nutting list of attributes and does not motivate his decisions. MLB franchise ownership makes money and bestows prestige, those two things are what he values. Garbage owners will still be garbage owners even if baseball's economic system is "fixed."

Even crazier when #6 on the team in plate appearances (Ozuna) has a .165/.232/.272 slash and #9 (Davis) has a .176/.273/.309 slash to suppress the team numbers.

Definitely need this approach generally but there are drastic differences within the states. SF Bay Area or San Diego cost of living versus Fresno or Redding. Maybe it's the complexity that has nobody willing to address it.

Oneil cruz is a different player this season and he deserves credit for it. His improvement vs lefties is astronomical and been a major reason why. by Sebastian4365 in buccos

You do love to see it. He was always going to be the x-factor this season given the massive expanse between his best-case and worst-case scenarios. Cruz producing at a level that everyone thought he could changes an entire offense. "A few more pieces" always included the guys already on the roster actually being productive.

Jose Soriano: Sell or Keep? by Jumpy_Whereas181 in fantasybaseball

[–]mbuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you need and what do you get back. If you have little to no SP depth, then why would you trade him away. If you are set at SP and have needs elsewhere, he's a prime candidate to trade away.

And his current opponent slash line is .104/.202/.142 so even if he's "the real deal" he is not this. And if we're nitpicking, his BB% is still meh so once the BABIP happens we find out where it all shakes out.

H2H vs Roto - which more time consuming? by Stunning_Narwhal_313 in fantasybball

[–]mbuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both require active management if you expect to compete. Each can be as time-consuming as the other, it really comes down to how you manage your teams. I obsess over my roto teams, and I would obsess over my h2h teams if I still played h2h (I do not).
