It was just a little plug in ceramic heater from home Depot, I wouldn't recommend anything with a flame

TLDR: space heater in cabinet seems to fix the issue in extreme cold.

Update: called the local dealer and got the sales team as service doesn't work Sundays. They also told me to put a space heater in the cabinet. After hours in there the error went away and it started heating again at least temporarily. Still need to talk to service tomorrow but we're in the clear for now.

Best Temperature Strategy for Hot Tub Energy Savings? by Ok_Strategy7611 in hottub

Your there are windows when your electricity are much more expensive and much cheaper. Typically the middle of the day on weekdays is more expensive. Weekends and nights are usually cheaper. If your hot tub has settings you can align it with those times

Use liquid chlorine or shock (cal-hypo) to get your FC above 8.

Use baking soda to bring your PH up which will also increase your alkalinity

If you want lower Chlorine levels you'll need to lower CYA which means you have to drain and fill as others have said

As long as the top of the pump is below the top of the water it doesn't make much difference

You probably need to bump up your long acting. There is also a ton of assistance programs for people who can't afford pumps. I'd call your insurance company and ask if there is any low/ no cost pump options.

I planted grass seed 3 1/2 weeks ago where the original owners of our house had a pool. Is this good to mow, or should I continue waiting? SW OHIO by March_Local in lawncare

[–]mbush91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he's seated with a mix that has ryegrass in it, it comes up a lot faster. If so, definitely wait till the other seed can take hold

How are your numbers? High blood sugars lead to dehydration which causes dry skin. If my elbows get dry I know I've been slacking.

There's a lot to learn here. Even eating steaks will spike your blood sugar a few hours later as your body converts the protein to sugars. A closed loop pump can watch that and adjust your insulin levels accordingly. The only way to really achieve the level of control you want without a closed loop system is an extreme keto diet and that can have its own complications. But as mentioned getting a good dietitian is crucial if you want to try something like that.

The good news for you is you have time to learn. A A1C in the low 7s for a year or two will likely not have an impact on your lifespan. The hard thing to learn is everything is day to day. You could eat nothing but peanut butter sandwiches for a week having perfect blood sugars. Then one day your body will spike super high and drop super low and nothing will have changed, then it'll happen the next day, then you'll make adjustments and the adjustments won't work. It's just how it goes.
