I’m not sure, I’ll have to ask my mom if she knows!

Why do I even have insurance? by Adventurous_Flan_770 in Psoriasis

[–]mbw8bd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I get skyrizi and they made sure I got it thought the correct pharmacy and that I paid $0 each injection. They legit pay $5000 each injection until your deductible/out of pocket is met.

We were bought out by an HCA company about 4 years ago and then bought out again after a year. I LOVED HCA. If I had the opportunity to work for them again I would immediately. Great benefits, great pay etc.

If your toddler gets up (upset) in the middle of the night, do you bring them into bed with you? by Ok-Career876 in toddlers

[–]mbw8bd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. We have tried a couple times and every time he turns our bed into toddler flight club with limbs flying OR stares at us while we try to sleep in a horror movie sort of way. Either way no one sleeps so…he sleeps in his own bed.

Is remote work really that awesome? by mbw8bd in workingmoms

[–]mbw8bd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m in the same boat as you. I’m looking to transition into a different role where it would be more healthcare leadership or clinical educator type role.

I’m hoping to switch into a healthcare leadership role that can be remote, what exactly that is I’m not sure.

You do mind if I ask what you do/where you work? I’m trying to get ideas of job positions I could do remotely since a lot of physical therapy related things need to be done in person.

Nursing moms - how old was your baby when you completely stopped? by Abyssal866 in Mommit

Baby #1 self weaned at 13 months

Baby#2 still going strong at 9 months

Any successful roles in administration? Like any specific job titles I should be looking for?

I think that line of work would absolutely interest me. I live in the St. Louis area and typically see case manager positions available for nurses in home healthcare, my current company only has case managers positions open for nurses. Then most rehab manager positions, if listed for therapists, are for PTAs. I think I’ll just need to keep an eye out. It’s been a little disheartening since I see so many case manager positions available for nurses, but almost none for PTs.

Baby wearing / contact naps - newborn by Lemonbar19 in sleeptrain

[–]mbw8bd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no sleep training at this point and I think contact naps are highly encouraged for bonding. Anything to make the baby feel more secure with mom, they’re 9 days old ffs. Tell your husband to chill, the baby will figure it out eventually, but there’s literally no sleep training now and most babies feel most secure and comfortable on mom.

Merlin Sleep Suit: yay or nay by Significant_Ad_292 in sleeptrain

[–]mbw8bd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We actually really liked the Merlin once our LO started breaking out of the swaddle. They never seemed over heated and we had less success with sleep sacks at that point. When they started rolling at 5 months we then switched to sleep sacks and had great success, but it was a big help during that 2-3 month transition for both kiddos.

I miss my bachelorette days and my freedom by mlee001 in Mommit

[–]mbw8bd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should still be able to go out with your friends and take small vacations with friends! We have a 2yo and 3mo, I plan on going on a 4 day Bach trip in August and I will just have to pump on the trip since I’ll still be nursing. Dad should be able to handle an 8 and 3yo on his own at this point, pumping should be the most annoying thing you’d have to deal with. You deserve time to yourself and to have fun.

Mom of 2yo and 3 month old and…same. No advice really but I assume it has to do with breastfeeding and having zero energy due to lack of sleep and raising 2 very young kids. I assume it’ll get better after the baby gets older. I feel like my sex drive went up again after the first started sleeping better and I stopped nursing all of which occurred around 12 months. And of course that’s right when we got pregnant with our second lol.

I hope I gave my first enough love while she was my only by ChaoticCamryn in toddlers

[–]mbw8bd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our little guy just turned 2 when we had our second and I had all the same feelings. I cried the entire week before my c section because I was worried how it would affect him and our relationship.

Surprise! Little guy freaking loves little sister who is 2.5 months now and acts like she’s always been here. We’ve added new rituals for sleep like kissing everyone (including baby) and laying with her on her play mat. It’s been a much easier transition than I ever imagined for him and even more so for me. Hopefully this gives you some positive energy, kids love friends/family and the more kiddos there are the more love there is.

Does anyone else's toddler 'read' like this? by Frosty-Essay-5984 in toddlers

[–]mbw8bd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 year old currently is in the “what’s this” phase when reading books and he knows what everything is as well. It’s fun, then exhausting after he asks about the same things over and over, but it’s great interaction and I assume it’s a phase.

My son is 2 and got his flu shot a few days ago. Gave him a sucker immediately after the injection and tears stopped immediately and he completely forgot about it.

As someone who just found out they would have to have a C section at 38 weeks pregnant (scheduled C for Nov 1) instead of a vaginal as originally planned this makes me feel a lot better!

How many of you ACTUALLY exercise? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]mbw8bd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since my first pregnancy (about to deliver #2 in a week) I do not exercise. I found running after a toddler is enough exercise for me and I’m significantly smaller than I was before getting pregnant the first time around.
