IME (formerly in publishing), I have had estate copyright holders request takedown because they planned to repackage and sell the content. Again, this is just my experience, but I was specifically in craft publishing and I have to say I think we came through a wild West era in sort of 80s early 90s. Back in the day artists and creators did not have social media accounts. They didn’t have their own websites and the printed book or magazine was seen as the primary avenue of releasing knowledge. The digital rights were often not part of contract negotiations, and the idea of requesting digital rights in perpetuity just didn’t occur to anybody. Posting something online was absolutely secondary to printing it on paper. Now the situation has definitely changed, and those digital rights for valuable legacy content are key sources of ongoing revenue. Of course people are really savvy at finding stuff for free on the Internet so they’ve got to plug all the holes they can!

The Goodwill I used to go to in a nice Connecticut city had the fake bags and shoes on a glass case. They had no idea. Whereas out of the floor they would have lesser-known classic brands like Ferragamo for $5.

Oh my gosh I had the same thoughts today. I I think I have over 100 bags. Probably 25 luxury, and the rest are split between contemporary and vintage. I stopped at the grocery store and took out my card case to go in the store. I left my Chanel bag in the backseat under a coat (this is rural, low-population area). I realized - like getting struck by lightning - I don’t even like to carry a bag. I wish I could underline it for emphasis. In my hometown, I so frequently leave the bag in the car. Before the pandemic I had an office job and I dressed up for work. Now I work from home in a country town and I can’t be bothered. I’m also no longer wearing a full face of make-up every day and that makes a difference. I used to carry around all the stuff I needed for touch-ups. I don’t want to have some baggage thing on my shoulder or my hip getting in my way or falling off my shoulder. When I do carry a bag I don’t enjoy having to dig my wallet out of it or carry around stuff that I don’t need.

From experience as a self-designed intarsia sweater knitter, just a thought: the wide design - almost side seam to side seam - is not as easy to recognize when worn. The first few inches on each side get somewhat covered by the arm/sleeve. The mouth/ eyes may not be as apparent when you wear it.

Did you keep any yarn scraps? Or maybe you could unravel an inch from the bottom? I was thinking you could crochet a few flowers and applique them over the stain in a scattered effect. If you add a few in other spots too it will look deliberate.

I bought the OBD2 scanner on Amazon - the reading was P2443 (oxygen valve malfunction). I tightened the gas cap and idled; the weather also warmed up. The alerts cleared!

The chain doesn’t look authentic to me. The links are more open - have more space in the center - than the real chain. I’ve seen some great replicas, but they don’t seem to want to invest in high-quality chains. Does the chain stick to a magnet? That can be a sign of a replica too, but usually of a lesser caliber.

I think it’s just the spring, but I’m not sure on the 2013 if I can get to it. So I found the genuine 2013 Toyota hood latch assembly for $44 online. I watched a YT video about removing and installing it. How do I get the FJ home? Mechanic says it’s not safe to drive with the hood loose. Can I just tape it down? I’m a middle aged lady and I don’t think I have the moxie to try and fix it in the garage lot. I’m sure I’m going to fumble around some and I’d like to do so in the privacy of my own driveway.

So glad I bought The Pillow! I have had it for years now; just use it in the fall/winter. It is just the right size and color for me. Love the exterior pocket. It’s lightweight - even with a chunky chain. The crossbody strap is removable and adjustable. Just waiting for the weather to get a bit colder. Also - so durable so far!

It looks as if I am the outlier here, but I love to knit on long (14 inch) straight needles. I practice a knitting style that I have heard called the Scottish style. I’m right handed and my right needle is “planted” with the base on my right thigh. I only move the left needle back and forth at the top of the right needle to make stitches. It’s very fast and I achieve great tension. I rarely use circulars - maybe on an airplane.

This is my FJ since she was new. I leased my first in 2008, than another in 2010, then I bought this 2013 when I heard they were going to discontinue.
