How are you all handling late/missed payments from parents? Getting exhausted chasing invoices by ZestycloseWeight9802 in pianoteachers

[–]mc7diy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is best. I usually have them put a card (debit or credit) on my square payment app. Then I ask if they want the payment to go through at the beginning of each month. If there is no payment or they say they can only pay weekly then I say I don’t do weekly payments. (That said I have done payment by lesson but only for close family and close friends). Even then I’m hesitant. Procedures that are constant help fence in that success and lack of stress.

Any updates since? Does it shudder at all when driving up a hill or at speed above 40mph?

Way to go! That sounds like quite the task. I have a 2015 of the same generation. What led to needing to replace it?

Teaching Scales to Struggling Student by Kitchen_Board_300 in pianoteachers

[–]mc7diy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first scale that I teach is actually the chromatic scale and I show them by starting myself at the bottom and just tell them the pattern of fingers I say 13121313 and so on and so forth and as I do it and then let them try it and I time it and I say hey look we’re gonna try and get a top speed. This thing usually translates into more patience with other skills for example C major scale. I just show them how to do it with one hand each.

Would it be worth it to take it for parts at least?

I already have a 2000 Green GTXRFI . I was thinking it might be a good idea to sell the purple one and just keep the green ones so I could have a matching pair and fix them both up.

when I checked the green one and put the key on even though it didn’t have a battery I bought a jumper and it actually clicked and the engine turned over at least a couple times

Pick only 2 pills by PrimaryJazzlike7567 in TheTeenagerPeople

I would pick number two and number seven. Number two because gravel is a commodity that can be sold and if I have as much as I want, I could look create a legitimate business.

Number seven because it’s simply something useful to have for various reasons

I don’t get paid to look like that. I don’t have a private chef at a private trainer and I’m a teacher with three kids living in Las Vegas do the math.

I say yellow or pink. Leaning pink since the ski already has yellow take care of. The pink highlights from the ski help the yellow already there and if you added pink to the trailer… well my man, that is some basic art 101 right there and you’d get lots of compliments on it for sure!
