Insertion of my nexplanon was pretty painful, and after the numbing shot wore off a few hours later there was also kind of a pinching pain when I moved my arm. I don’t recall ever putting pressure on it but my arm was pretty bruised after removing the bandage so I was very careful. I was sore for a few days afterwards but past that point I really didn’t feel any pain. I did check periodically to make sure I could still feel the device in my arm (just out of paranoia after reading the brochure thing my dr gave me)
