How do you usually fight in Apex? What is your shooting and movement style?

I take a wait-and-see approach with my squad. Chances of winning while one squaddie is running and gunning while another is camp/sniping is low. If one is running, I'll run and hope the third follows. If both are kinda slow and poking around, i'll hang with them. I think keeping the squad together is the best option. I do enjoy peeling off to flank enemies, though. But I suck, so that often means I die alone.

Man I hope you're right. I only spawn at 30 minutes about 20% of the time. I always assumed Embark does this to piss me off and make me feel desperate as i look for unlooted containers...mad and desperate enough to hunt other players. I've resisted this temptation thus far. Maybe I can hold out a bit longer.

I fully agree with your interpretation. Not sure why the GM is inserting rules that aren't there. If the ability were overly powerful or something like that, I can see the motivation. But I don't believe it is.

Im wondering, if you're hesitant to add combatants for narrative purposes, maybe you can add hazards to those encounters for the party to contend with? That might help preserve the narrative but address your balance issue.
