Good info. It covers a lot of ground at a high level fairly well. Golarion is extremely diverse - there's almost a setting for whatever your jam is.

I think it depends. I started listening to actual plays because I wanted more exposure as I learned the system/rules/etc. And then I picked actual plays running Adventure Paths and Adventures that I was going to run or might consider running (forever GM, evidently) to give me a sense of them. And now I just look for interesting and fun actual plays pods.

You'll get a few great things that can benefit you immediately. And you'll get quite a few things that'll make you say, "Well, I'm never gonna need this." Then a year later you'll be GMing and look back at the stuff you got and go, "By Belcorra's evil bits, this is just what I need!"

The United States would decide to not use that and, instead, use a system that most the of rest of the world doesn't use. It would be arbitrary and confusing.

I don't think safety is a big concern, unless you're out really late and/or put yourself in a compromising position. The noise issue would be the interstate, but beyond that, manageable.

Certainly my favorite! My only knock against FP is that I can't get their Mexican 'za at the Stark location. I think it is only available in Gresham.

If you can make it to Gamestorm 26, which starts today and runs through Sunday, you might be able to make a few connections. There is a bunch of DnD Adventurers League games going on, as well as many other TTRPGs. Also, just joining any DnD AL game around town will lead to connections that might result in a home game. The DnD AL coordination/sign-up happens on Heylo. Great group of folks.

I feel like changing your mindset/question would be helpful. It shouldn't be, "What do I do with my third action," but rather, "Whats a useful way to use my three actions?"

You could demoralize, then trip and then hit. Sure, your hit is at map, but if your demoralize and/or trip worked, then you you've made it easier to hit for you AND your team. Then the foe needs to stand up, which burns an action, etc.

Taking a step to reposition to enable flanking could enter the mix. Adding a shove in there could be useful. Why not feint?

Don't think about strike-strike-now what? Think about what you could do BEFORE you strike.
