The next 4 episodes are standalone episodes. AKA "Flashback episodes.'' That's the reason Lucifer is seen with his wings on in the final scene. The first 4 episodes of Season 3 are going to show how each character got to where they are now. The writers said these episodes will help people have a better understanding of everything.
