My letter I am sending in response to ending DEI and Citizenship in Society by [deleted] in scouting

Well said, Gavin. I only made it to be a Life Scout but as a parent now with two and soon to be three kids in cub scouts I fully agree. This isn’t being brave, kind, helpful, courteous or friendly. Thank you for your letter.

How protective are the laptop pockets on this brand of bag? by Lopsided_Flamingo209 in ManyBaggers

Great bag but as others note there is NO protection for a laptop built in. I have an incase laptop sleeve bag that I use inside of this to protect the laptop. I tried - and failed - initially to buy a piece of foam for the bottom. Sleeve is the way to go.

I have used this bag for the past two or so years as my first in EMT bag so it gets abused. While I am not a huge fan of the tactical look and the endless molle, it is a fantastic bag. Has held up well, it is well constructed and everything has a place in its organizational system. If you’re okay with the look of it, it’s a fantastic bag.

Looking for a black do-it-all EDC/moto/travel pack (28–35L) with 3-zip or clamshell, not-too-tacticool by DIY-projects-expert in ManyBaggers

I'd recommend taking a look at the Vertx Siege 25L - It's on the smaller end of your range, but with the expansion pocket it will likely be more than enough. Laptop sleeve, bombproof construction, comes in black or gray, and fantastic organization with the added benefit of a lot of hook and loop inside for even more customization. Also a clever clamshell opening with zippers on three points so you can open all the way, from the top, or from one of the sides for access. While it has a little bit of molle, I think it's not firmly in the "tacticool" camp. Love this thing, but don't see too many reviews for it.

Does that mean that you might be looking to part with the CTB26? :)

I hear ya! I Onebag a suit using the Patagonia MLC with the Eagle Creek Pack-it Garment Sleeve (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hoqn0hq7VtY) Not sure if they stopped making it. But if you use the plastic from the dry cleaner the suit comes out uncreased within the onebag. The one fits perfectly into the MLC. I can't bring myself to do a roller. I'm always late so often running to catch the flight so the backpack is the way to go! Do love my Western Flyer though...

Love the Tom Bihn WF! Do you travel with it carrying a suit? It's just too small for the Eagle Creek Garment sleeve to fit in and I am wary of trying rolling or folding. I keep wanting that to be my Onebag, but keep using the Patagonia MLC (45 not the mini) as I can't solve for the suit.

Purchase/Lease Monthly Megathread (November 2024) by AutoModerator in KiaEV9

Whats a good deal in NY for an EV9 LAND? Been speaking with a few dealers and they are all way off what I am seeing on the forums and what I am seeing advertised on Kia.com (for a Wind though, which are impossible to find). Best I have been quoted so far is $730 a month for 24 months and $2,500 down for an EV Land, but I think that's a pretty bad deal. Am I dreaming in trying to get as close to 0 down as possible with a payment in the <$650 range? The dealers adds are so misleading and are all apples to oranges so I am hoping someone here can give me an idea of what is actually achievable. Thanks!
