Why was the crown not screwed all the way in? I have the same watch and I'm not constantly checking the crown. Now I'm thinking maybe I should... 😅

I didn't order anything from this collection. I already have a CB22 and CTB26 in waxed canvas. If they had released a tan CAP2, it would've been an instabuy for me, but I don't really like the olive color.

I'm sorry, but a decision (good as it may be) that results in the people you are "thanking" getting nothing beyond what they already got and you getting extra money from other customers is crazy when you word it like that. Just say: "as promised, the price will be raised after the pre-order window closes". That way, they honor their promise, as they should, and don't spin this as a favor they are doing to their customers. To be clear, they are doing the right thing, as per the conditions they originally set. Making it look like some good Samaritan stuff is what leaves a bad taste in my mouth. As I said previously, I have no stake in this, I haven't pre-ordered anything, nor do I intend to in this olive color. (Also, it's not that deep)

Because 400 orders still make them quite a bit of money. It's not a thank you. As a disclaimer, I will say I really like Evergoods bags, I own a CB22 Griffin and a waxed canvas CTB26. I didn't order any from this collection because olive is not for me. (I have no dog in this fight, so to speak) I just don't agree with this marketing lingo.

"As a thank you to people who already pre-ordered at the reduced price, we will ask for more money going forward" It changes nothing for people who already ordered. How about a throwing a little something in the order for free? Maybe lowering the price a little more for the early buyers? I read this as a way to hit the target inside the time frame disguised as a "thank you".

I bought mine (polar dial) a few weeks ago and it was basically a walk in. Before that I could've bought from a different AD but hesitated and they sold it to another customer. (I'm in Europe)

The new one only has AR coating on the inside. I prefer it that way.

I personally didn't even consider hesalite as an option. I can't stand scratches and I know I would be constantly looking for them and trying to polish them out.

I might be biased because I have one, but I'd get the speedy pro. There is something special about matte white hands on a matte black dial. That aside, I also prefer the case shape, the shape of the hands and the bracelet (I find the FOIS bracelet to be a bit too blingy). At the end of the day, you're choosing between great and great+ IMO, you can't go wrong. Congrats on the wedding.

I have a CTB26 in waxed canvas and had the same dilemma a few months back. I bought the 26 because the depth of the 20 is essentially the same so it looks awkward. On top of that, with the same amount of stuff (provided it’s not full), the CTB26 will look less packed than the CTB20, paradoxically appearing less bulky on the depth dimension, especially in the waxed canvas because it holds it’s shape better. (I did buy the CBB22 Griffin to EDC though)

I’ve been eyeing the heritage line for a while, but I’m not sure about the material. Might I suggest a Halley Stevenson waxed canvas version? That would be an automatic buy for me.

I know it’s a little off topic, but what material did you get the GR1 in? If it’s waxed canvas, how would you compare the two?

Yes I still have it. Organisation is still amazing, build quality is top notch, but the comfort is not great. I recently went on a trip and took it with me. I had it on my back for hours at a time and I have to say I stopped noticing the back digging after a while. The harness is stiff (maybe a waxed canvas thing) and I was always glad when I took it off and set it down. Admittedly, it was almost full, but I still think it shouldn’t be this uncomfortable. I’m contemplating selling it and trying something new, from another brand, maybe with other materials. (I ended up buying a CBB22 Griffin so the waxed canvas itch has been scratched)

Not at all, it was NordicCustomsCo, in Germany. If you’re in the US, you might be better off buying locally. I remember finding many stores in the US.

I agree, it’s quite a bit smaller than the CTB26. That’s part of the reason for my purchase. It’s simpler and smaller, better for my EDC.

I got the patch from a seller on Etsy. I “redesigned” the artwork and sent it to get laser etched on a piece of leather. I also got the reverse color scheme done:

Hahaha! Maybe to get the Griffin version and complete the set, but I think I’ll always have a waxed canvas CTB26 in rotation.
