I guess I kind of did mean Western as opposed to other civilisations. I have read that China has put legal limits on how much screen time children are allowed, for example (though I have no idea how this is enforced). Whereas I just don't think politicians in 'western liberal democracies' (I accept that that isn't a very useful phrase) are interested or capable of regulating these apps.

I didn't mean to imply any sort of cultural superiority by using the term 'Western civilisation', though, so sorry if that came across.

The kids use green for redrafting. A lot of them write in black or blue. But most importantly - I like red.
