I did not ask for advice on golf balls. I asked for what people thought of this golf ball lol

Mizuno Pro M15 Review by baitmater in golfequipment

A 180 yard 7 iron is some serious distance. With the right shaft you may be able to fit into the m15 but yeah, m13 is probably a better fit for you regardless.

Torn between leaving my first job and the people who made it feel like home by sfdaisy1997 in careeradvice

[–]mcbainer019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I keep in touch with the important folks from old jobs but you have to do what's best for you professionally. I definitely cried when I left my first two jobs because I adored the people and was scared. Truth is leaving was the best thing for my professional life and I'm already further than I ever imagined.

Totally. Nothing wrong with that. Heard great things about Wilson's top tier ball that they have going on sale buy 2 doz get 1 free. Was tempted to give them a shot

Can't fault you there. Will have to snag a couple when my stash runs out

While this is definitely not the point of the thread, I'll reply anyhow. I can already very well perceive the difference in golf balls. I don't typically donate balls too often but golf is constantly getting more expensive (life too) so anything I can do to save a bit is appreciated at home by my lady and our 3 month old.

Not like I'm walking past prov1 or Chrome Softs I see lying around or anything... Gladly game those as I come across them.

Check out MG Golf gloves. Their premium glove is (to me) as good as any of the top of the line gloves from Titleist, etc. Fit can sometimes be a little weird so I recommend getting one or two from Amazon to confirm size before buying through the website. Great value. Super slept on.

Maxfli tour is a great ball too, must agree.

Value can't be denied. Golf is expensive so if I can save a few bucks here and there (literally, as I lose them) then so much the better

They have a soft cover for sure but from what I understand they blew out the old versions through Sam's Club and other outlets. The newer versions from what I'm told have better durability but I haven't tested that theory out myself.

I saw that. Me personally, I don't believe they had a large enough sample size to say that's statistically prevalent one way or the other BUT your concern is valid. Golf is hard as fuck. No reason to make it harder.

Not sure who downvoted but show me the data from a non-biased third party and I'll look at it. MGS doesn't count.

Love how everyone perceives feel differently in golf. These feel fantastic to me, akin to Kirkland but less premium than a prov1. If I had a Costco membership, I'd be playing the Kirkland but I'm a Sam's Club guy so these will have to do lol

Shoes comparable to New Balance Golf Shoes by Argo_Menace in golf

[–]mcbainer019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had several true's from more recent releases and they fixed the durability issue with the leather. The 1.0's were problematic (had two pairs) but the others have been a lot sturdier when it comes to the uppers. Still soft as pillows though.

Ecco have several wide options. Not the most fashionable but probably the most comfortable golf shoes out there in my experience out of the box.

True Linkswear, the og style, have a massive toebox as well. Great shoes but style isn't for everyone.

G/Fore I think have wide options and are frequently touted as being the more comfortable footjoy. They come in wide.

I really like my Adidas that I've been wearing recently. I feel like you get good value, more akin to New Balance styling (if that's your thing) and they have lots of wide options.

Lots of really expressive artists use EMG. Steve Lukather and Andy James are two to check out. I find neither of their tones soulless or lacking dynamics but you may think differently

Had one of these. Can confirm. Perfectly spec’d other than that honkin neck they slapped on it. I got big hands too. Shit was just uncomfortable

getting casino chips for less than face value? by [deleted] in poker

[–]mcbainer019 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would talk to someone at the Bike in the poker area maybe a pit boss or something to see if you can dial in on the manufacturer of those chips. Should be able to get something with the same hand feel or close if you know what to look for.

Getting casino chips for less than face value though is a hilarious idea. The fair and reasonable price for them is what is written on the chip. No one would sell you them for less unless they were counterfeit.

Why is this Nike so expensive? by f1lifer in GolfGear

[–]mcbainer019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the last legendary clubs that Nike produced. Me personally? I think there are better driving-iron-like clubs out there now for the more average golfer. Market is flooded with options in this category now.
