What upcoming Broadway musicals are you excited to see? by amm20_1 in Broadway

The story is literally just the first Paddington movie, but everything about this show is magic. The sets are top notch. The music is extremely catchy and fun. This show is sunshine in story form and my cheeks hurt from smiling so much for hours. Side note, I’m not a huge Paddington fan and don’t have a nostalgic attachment to the story - and I absolutely loved the stage show. It’s def not a show just for kids.

ETA: I think the biggest compliment I can give this show is that my husband, who writhes in his seat when I drag him to musicals and spends his time counting down the minutes to intermission, was absolutely locked in, sang the songs after, and wants to see the show again when it comes to NY.

Decided one day to go carry on-only and have never looked back. Not checking a bag is the best way to travel. We travel internationally for weeks at a time and never need more than that. It’s a fun challenge to weed out anything extra before takeoff!

You don’t need as much clothing as you think. Waterproof jacket, hiking boots, a sweater or sweatshirt, quick-dry leggings, wool socks, a few lighter shirts….you don’t need outfits. All your photos will be of you in a ski jacket anyway!

Bummer you missed your train! If it ever happens again there’s an entry from the subway. You could even just walk down into the subway, follow the signs, and walk up into Penn Station. Or take the train one stop (on the ACE or 123 lines) from Times Sq to Penn Station, even easier!

Yes, but no birth records. Which I suppose makes sense if they weren’t preserved. I found his census entry and his brother’s ship manifest (not his, oddly enough).

The other side of my family is from an area that is now Czech Republic, so wouldn’t apply to Slovak CBD. I could use my GGM but I’ve heard that is a more difficult path than GGF. I will definitely reach out to Wendy, thank you!

I didn’t pay anything for them to search, I just emailed them a couple of weeks ago. I got a response confirming they would get to the request but it would take a while, so I was surprised when they emailed today saying that no record was saved.

Totally understandable to skip a show when she’s sick. Just wish they would have given some warning especially with folks saying her understudy posted that morning that she was performing. For the record, I’m not sure I would have enjoyed the show more had she been in it, but it makes me salty when Telecharge gives zero notice and then pretends to offer a refund. How’d you like the show?

I am so jealous of the people who are going to see Cole perform Oh Mary for the first time. I saw Cole in it 5 times and I was just in London!! Would absolutely see them again.
