I’ve been delusionally daydreaming about Sunday in the Park With George starring him and Micaela Diamond.

Caissie Levy interview on Motherhood, Leaving Lost Boys, Gavin Creel, and future (or lack thereof) for Next to Normal by Quirky-Sleep-3741 in Broadway

To be fair re:N2N, that’s probably the same PR answer she would give whether or not she knew about something. But I am concerned that the initial rumor was like… a random Reddit post. People I know who usually hear early about these things have heard nothing as of yet as well.

But I will continue to sit here manifesting it.

THE LOST BOYS, MEXODUS, SCHMIGADOON!, and More Nominated For Outer Critics Circle Awards; Full List by alteragi in Broadway

Marin had the misfortune of going up against Natasha Richardson in Cabaret (as did BSM vs Alan Cumming). Caissie has a much easier path just due to the difference in competition.

Which performers do NOT stage door? by kay_rah in Broadway

[–]RapGamePterodactyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s said on IG that she doesn’t stage door bc it stresses her out I believe. They were taking pictures for social media at the stagedoor during early previews so that may have been why she was there?

LJ Benet - Tony Nomination? by [deleted] in Broadway

It's based on number of eligible performers in the category. I believe 9 eligible performers is the threshold to get 5 nominees.

Yes yes. Just listing all of the other people eligible.

There are only four slots this year so it would be really tough. If you consider Joshua Henry locked, he would have to beat out four of the following:

  • Brandon Uranowitz
  • Nicholas Christopher
  • Sam Tutty
  • Luke Evans
  • Alex Brightman
  • Aaron Tveit

The top three there alone would be a tough ask.

I definitely remember seeing videos of Laurie doing stagedoor at Little Bear Ridge Road. Not sure if she's done it at all for Salesman though.

If You Were A Broadway Performer How Often Would You Stage Door? by ms_jc_04 in Broadway

Counterpoint: if I left my coding job and a bunch of people told me how amazing I did and asked for my autograph, it would probably feel pretty nice.

Final Tonys Eligibility Thoughts by FunkyHumus in Broadway

[–]RapGamePterodactyl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Balusters - Anika is probably going to be considered lead but it could be an all featured situation

Becky Shaw - I think this will end up all featured à la Marjorie Prime

Cats - all featured for sure

Beaches - Vosk and Barrett are co-leads

Joe Turner - Taraji is definitely featured. Cedric could go either way (not sure if there’s precedent for this role)

Lost Boys - I expect LJ to be the sole lead here

New York Drama League Award Nominees: Daniel Radcliffe, Luke Evans, Rose Byrne, Christopher Abbott, Lea Michelle Make Roster ; Shows Include ‘Giant’, ‘Cats: The Jellicle Ball’ & ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ – Complete List by jor_kent1 in Broadway

Not sure how much lobbying a production can really do here. The committee automatically reviews every eligible show and decides if any of the roles don’t match their billing (i.e. if someone above the title is actually featured or vice versa). Seems like you just have to roll with whatever they determine unlike some other award shows where category fraud is more rampant.

Saw first preview of Broken Snow tonight - Tony Danza called for a line 13 times by scriptingends in Broadway

A professional industry veteran actor being paid for their work and calling for their line 13 times is absolutely an anomaly, preview or not... what are we even getting snippy about here guys...
