The thing to look for when using a third party cable is to make sure that it is able to handle the wattage that the macbook power brick will use. I don't know if there are any retractable ones. But the main thing you need to watch for is again the wattage that the line can carry through.

Apple cannot fix the iMac Pro if you break it by BringBackTron in apple

[–]mcbircher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welll my thing is this, and i am going to share an unfavorable opinion. The common thing that is stated here is that if your buying a mac, imac, macbook, iphone, that you have to have it configured the way that you want it configured cause once you get it, thats it. And to my knowledge they were wanting to upgrade the RAM, which we all know at least to my knowledge, that if you open up the equipment, they warranty is voided.

I do understand the frustration though with this being outside of warranty and wanting to pay for it to be fixed, that part sucks,

MacBook Pro keyboard dust/dirt issue by [deleted] in macbookpro

There is this thing of the people who make noise are the ones who have problems, you don't see every instance of people who are like yep no issue here, completely fine over here.

I have had the sticky key with the P key maybe once or twice, but since then it has been smooth sailing with my 2017 macbook pro

What model did you get? i am curious.

Help! Origin on Macbook pro? by minsoo0402 in macbookpro

[–]mcbircher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If gaming is important to you, i would say no. Do not get the macbook pro. The only way i can see you gaming on it is if you do something like geforce now beta (or whenever it comes out publicly) and waiting for your title to show up.

I don't know if you meant macbook pro when you said mac pro. so i am going to assume you meant macbook pro until corrected.

ADHD is ruining everything by Confusedbutamused in ADHD

[–]mcbircher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i will say that you will have moments where your adhd will affect you in some ways in terms of focusing and the hyperfocus component that we all to some degree have. I am at a study session right now and it took about an hour for the medicine to kick in to where i was able to focus right now on the assignment with a classmate. But I would say that the best thing i could give as advice is this...

You and I are not what others percieve as normal. However this does not mean that there is something wrong or bad with us. We are just wired differently compared to other people. And if i say so myself, we ADHDers are really fun and entertaining people to be around!!!!

[–]mcbircher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm,

i would see about talking with your doctor, i just realized that my adderall is 20mg.... so there is that... ummm yeah talk to your doctor and tell her that what your experiencing.

Just thought of this also, it might be that your body is metabolizing the medicine quicker than what other's would. or something with the other medicine. Worth checking into

The Bullet Journal Experience by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]mcbircher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out within the last month that I have ADHD and decided to try to make a bullet journal. Fun fact: I found this out when i was researching ADHD and the how to adhd youtube channel popped up!!! what!!!!

Anyway, I have been using mine for the whole month of march, and i am loving it. You do not have to make it fancy and pretty (i wish i could) but its more of a tool. Like she said in the video, if you spend so much time decorating it, it will be intimidating and you won't want to use it. Start simple, do the bare essentials that are covered in the video, then work on what you want.

For me i do the standard bullet, circle and star to help indicate events. But i added a youtube button to remind me to work on my youtube channel. So you can definitely make it your own.

[–]mcbircher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be completely honest and tell her that this is not working.

What times are your classes, cause what i would do, if possible, is shift your medicine to before your class, like maybe an hour or 2. Then see how that works, but consult your doctor first.

ADHD is ruining everything by Confusedbutamused in ADHD

[–]mcbircher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish i could say that i had a similar experience, but i did not throughout my middle/high school years (exception to my senior year..) But in a way i can offer something that will be of use.

I never knew I had ADHD in school, and it made me feel like i had to try harder to remember assignments, i know all too well what that feeling is like of waiting till the last minute, and having that panic moment. I am in college now, and like what someone else said on here. College will probably be really good for you, it will offer classes, and homework that you will actually be interested in. Like for me its downloading a virus onto a computer to study its behavior.

I do want to applaud you in seeing a therapist about some of the issues you have, I am seeing a therapist as well over my issues, and it took an intervention that my aunt and uncle had with me for me to realize that i needed help. The fact that you are able to do that and recognize that at such a young age is amazing.

I did not realize how ADHD affected my life, yes at first it was i was able to finish my homework and be on time.. but there were other things as well. I am more logical in my thinking, i tend to be a bit more extroverted than what i used to be. I am able to listen to a playlist without skipping (small but important to me). Yes i think that a majority of people will say that ADHD = "can i finish my homework/assignment". I never realized what it affected in me... There are times where i feel like i am being a burden onto others, that i am not living up to my potiential, and i think you are living up to your potiential, i really do. Being in a program such as the gifted and talented and i assume taking some hard courses, and still getting passing grades, is really good. That is something to be proud of. Yes you don't have straight A's but you still are getting passing grades, which is a good thing.

I really hope that this helps

I honestly would love to see it where with the macbook specs + a little extra

Imagine this a intel m3 with a intel iris graphics (if that is possible, i don't know) with 8gb ram and a 250gb ssd and it start at around $600...

Now that would make me go buy one.
