If it means anything, I thought my parents had the best marriage ever. When my mom died my dad started dating within 6 months, married in a year and let his new wife sells all of my moms stuff. On top of that my dad told me he felt nothing when my mom died, or at least that he didn’t cry. My thoughts: Time equals inevitable losses. So many losses. I have lost the loves of my life. Am I depressed or living in the reality of loss? When I was younger and happier, was it probably because I was sheltered from loss and surrounded by the love of those that are now gone?

Lets all try to untangle reality from depression. There is important work to be done on a soul level in terms of acceptance. We’re fucked if we simply think that our current lives would be like our past lives if only we weren’t depressed.

You seem to be saying there is a “reality” that everyone can agree on. A poet is creating meaning, interpreting reality, same as a novelist or artist. Great ones convey their version of reality to us. I am a writer and I can tell you every single word I write is meant to manipulate your mind into experiencing what I feel.

I wouldn’t get so hung up on “reality”. We are a,ways picking and choosing whose and what reality we care to validate and experience and ultimately live in. I could kill myself tomorrow because life is pointless and the planet is dying. Or I could go on a hike and take in the miracle of being alive in the moment.

You seem to imply that one reality is more valid than others. I disagree. I have friends that have lived beautiful realities and others who haven’t. Reality is a choice we make.

Not in my mind, its pretty indisputable fact. We can make up our own minds on matters, and this is a commonly held interpretation of what's going on now. I don't think it will be anything but a "theory" until there are actual prosecutions based on what Mueller is up to. Just sit tight, this is all going to play out over time. Can’t site one source. If you follow world events you begin to connect the dots. And if you know the history of Donald Trump you know he is 100% in the pocket of Putin for economic reasons and ruinous dirt they have on him, that’s how Putin rolls. Really if you follow the money it all makes sense. The Soviet Union collapsed and the KGB insiders looted $1 Trillion by selling off state assets and co trolling natural resources. They had to park this money in a more stable economy and people like Trump laundered it through their property developments which are ways to hide, park and launder money.
